Because GS was the bookrunner for Blackrock. So likely they didn’t have a buyer for 1% of Blackrock stock so had to hold it in their book for a day

Now the buyer is ready the stock has been sold

I think the stock will go sideways until results. As Matt says in the article focus needs to be on peak trading otherwise the shares can still get a lot cheaper

An interesting point, the recent set of results were dampened by sterling strength and a lot of analysts upset about this. Well since Sterling has plummeted and the outlook isn’t rosey! All this is a boost for THG and more importantly that cash conversion number

The whole point of this article is that that is probably true for the US market. He’s saying all the way through this that the U.K. market isn’t liking him or the way things are done. So you can’t copy paste what happened with Elon in the US

I think this is playing with fire. Also saying that the divisions would be too big for the U.K. market? Has he never heard of Shell? That feels a bit arrogant

On SoftBank I do think they will do the deal. I just think it might be a deal for the whole pie instead. Take this private for IPO price. Three years doing the work they want to do and then they can carve it up how they like in Asia/ US
