So Mikey, Genuine question from me, What do you think,? Why do you think if it falls to 1.27 it will fall to 1.20 ex divi? 1.27 minus the divi = 1.23 or more. A sensible answer would be nice, Why don't you ever answer anybody's posts. If you did, it would help!

I value your opinion, because you annoyed me with your very neg opinion of vod in the Days of Last Call, If you remember him? At the the time we disagreed,(big time) but you were right, so I always like to learn from those who prove me wrong. So I am hoping your now positive stance might now prove me right in the long run? No pressure there then? Can we get back to the £2 ish price of the vod glory days?

Obviously someone who has sold at 5p more, 2 days ago, did the right thing with the benefit of hindsight.__ What does "they'll also be playing fortnight tonight" mean? & who is this generation of cognitively impaired you refer to? For the 100th time, the divi comes straight out of the sp on ex divi day, so don't buy for the short term divi. Long term, yes, (hopefully).

Mikey. That is a very good question, & I wish I had the answer, I think many buy for the divi & sell after, which I think is foolish. As for selling now, & buying back cheaper after the divi, who knows. I have just bought a load more shares, after thinking about waiting until after ex divi, but decided not to wait. Today is not looking good for that decision though. My investment is med/long term though. Let's hope for a rise later in the yankie hour Eh?! Wow, you have had many a pop at me for my (nasty comments) in the past. At least mole- man is not a vod shareholder, & I welcome his intelligent neg comments ( Most I don't agree with) Better than a moaning, negative vod (option only now) shareholder. Although his post today was more positive, so I thank him (Mikey)for that. mole. You talk about inflation as if nobody else apart from vod is affected. Surely all sectors are cut throat, & most are affected by inflation. Why do you single out vod?? If vod does have a fixed low % on its loans,(ref to pre existing bonds) (fleccy) then high inflation is good, surely? ---mole, I am not trying to pump vod, but I sometimes think you are trying to dump vod. All respect though, as I always value your opinion. Bad day today though of course, for all vod Amigo's. Just don't buy for the soon to come divi, buy for the med/long term divi's.

Gary, Just to add, I don't have an unwavering faith in vod as 2 things worry me, 1 is as I said before about the deb't % & the other is this buy for the divi. I hold vod long/med term for the divi, as it suits me to get a good income without having to sell shares, but to buy for the divi short term is total folly, as we all should know by now, the sp will fall by the divi on ex divi day.

Gary, I think the debt is a worry, but if vod make more profit by investing than the % they pay on the debt, than that is good. The problem I have is trying to work out how much % vod pay on there debt's. Some on here in the past have said it doesn't matter, which is nonsense, of course it matters, so if anybody on here can work out what on average vod pays % on it's debt, that would be very helpful. I haven't heard about a rise in inflation, what have you heard? Cheers Gary, & good luck, Just don't blame the yanks please, any idiot can do that!

Thanks mole- man, But surely the chances of picking one share that out performs the market is the same as it underperforming the market? However, I accept that your advise sounds sensibly, but perhaps a bit boring. Good luck.
