The sp tomorrow will certainly reflect the divi payment. Whatever it would have been if it wasn't ex divi day, it will be minus the divi. Simple. If you buy for the divi, you lose it straight away & then wait a couple of months to get it back, minus divi tax if you pay it. So don't buy short term for the divi, long term yes, I hope. Mikey, shame about the late fall today, lets just hope tomorrow is good. When is your next share option price set, I guess for you a fall up to the option price set date could be good for future options? I have a friend who worked for B.T. & got share options for about 60p a share many years ago.

I am puzzled as to why a lot of ** appeared on my post. Around March 2014, all vodafone share holders were given approx 1 share in exchange for each 2 that they previously own'd They were also given Verizon shares, & cash.

Bye the way, I think the main reason there are approx 1/2 as many shares now as 7 years ago, is because there was an approx 1 for 2 ************** around march 2014, when vod's share of verizon was disposed of. There may be other factors as well.

If vod axed it's divi would the share price eventually take off as with B.T. Big question ? I think however the answer is very complex as they are both very different. Any thoughts on this one? Historically the B.T. share price has varied far more than vod, £13 ish high down to a 60p low for B.T. VOD £4 high. £1 low. approx. I like a divi for income. not to re invest, as that defeats the whole object of a divi.

Vod has to increase by more than it's divi to remain credible. Forget all this support level nonsense, who sets these fantasy support levels. A load of rubbish! 1.40 again though,would be good?!

From a gamblers point of view, I love ex divi day, Who dares wins. Come on vod?! I do have a small bet on Ingyland tonight, but far more on vod. Perhaps I should bet on Germany??!! Narcus, Not only do I not have a contract with vod, I don't even own a modern mobile phone. My wife pays for the internet, & I use a landline to phone ( unlimited calls) I am of course very old school, as I believe a phone is something to talk with. If I do get a modern mobile phone, perhaps I would use vod, but do you think all investors in tobacco companies smoke, or investors in rocket science own a rocket ship? I find that a lot of people who are constantly plugged into there mobs, are brainwashed a lot of the time, still that's progress I guess.

Forget politics, just go for the best deal & service. I don't use vodafone, just invest, that's all.
