Carrington. Well explained. After the good run lately, the vod sp was always likely to fall back. Obviously there is a lot of money in America,so that can easily move the sp sharply. As for the F.T.S.E. & U.S. markets being up, vod often goes in the opposite direction driven by other factors (merger rumours for example) of which may come & go. The only certainty I would say, is that if sp does fall back, no doubt the doom & gloom merchants will be back on this forum, with there usual sack the b.o.d. nonsense!

I still haven't got 2 negative covid tests, so still can't go out,which is a bit annoying, so I shall have a little moan about that?, but definitely not about the vod sp. Ackers. You only have to read his last post to realise he has the mind of a spoilt child. He works for vod, & obviously has a grudge. Never mind, I am very happy at the moment with vods share price. As for skiing, well, I've cancelled 2 ski hols so far this year due to covid restrictions, but still have one planned in March, so I hope that one goes ahead. Good luck all vod investors.

For me, a very good day today, I am only invested in vod, not wise as a general rule I agree, but worked for me today. Nick Read is my hero!!!??? Better than some of there dodgy employees!!?? I do hope though Mikey, if Nick Read does get it right about his telecom merger advice, you will withdraw your negative posts against him & the B.O.D. Thanks compound for your reply. I think with vods large debt a takeover would be very dodgy, but a merger could be a very good idea. Nick Read indicated a while ago that he was keen on possible mergers, which is why I find those on here who constantly complain about Nick Read not giving shareholder value because the sp was falling, as not having a clue what they are talking about. Nick Read does not control the share price, that is the market, so if the sp does fall back again, can you all stop talking nonsense? Not you of course compound, keep your posts coming please.

Hello compound. My impression was that last year vod were in talks about buying three, but now the talks are about a merger? So I am not sure where you got your info from? A merger would seem a safer option I would think? What do you think?

Robina. According to the so called experts, the vod sp may rise to 1.50 , & the earths temp may rise by 1.5 to 4% by 30-40. They may both be right, both be wrong, one right & the other wrong? We don't know, but with respect, it is a bit of a daft comparison, don't you think? Are you an expert on both global warming & the stock market?
