sotonspike. Thank's, but my Knowledge is mainly historical. I tend to trust Nick Read, so I think the bid is too low? However I trusted Chris Gent when the sp was £3.99 as narcus correctly stated, so what do I know? Of course, what I do think is, forget the past, look to the future. I think we could easily head back up to £2, but I am a born optimist? I think if the bid was higher, the money would be very handy for paying down debt, which I think is vods biggest problem, but I think/hope it is manageable.

Narcus.. A poor choice of words when you say WON the Mannesmann deal. ( Narrative Reversal) The biggest loss in history it has gone down as. Some complain about Nick Read, not a patch on that balls up!

MikeM14 Vodafone shares were £3.55 on 1/3/1999. & £3.05 on 1/5/2000. to give just 2 examples. Those were the days my friend. When it sold verizon, the sp was about £2.50.

Perhaps vod does need the money, but is holding out for a bigger offer?

GLTader. I think a realistic value of vod is £1.77 as you suggested ,on todays situation, , but the brokers have been coming up with 1.60 to 2.30 for years now. so forget the past & look to the future! £1.77 + Of course £2 is possible? & for me? In profit at last!! Only just?

So two great examples today. The sp after hitting a high late today fell back,but then shot up at the end, (What goes down, must come up) example 1. Then we have Patients very impatient comment, when are the shares going to hit £2? example 2. Great day today though, unless you think your investment should always go up, or just stay the same, but never fall. Try investing in a building society if that is what you want?

Yes robleo, I am going to Italy on the 19 March for the sun, snow, skiing & cider, In march it can feel very warm in the Italian dolomites with the strong sunshine. I don't know what part of wales you come from, I have been up Snowdon, & nice as it is, it is a not a patch on the Italian dolomites. Nothing against Wales though, which I think is probably nicer than England, especially if you like the hills & mountains, which I do very much. Anyway, talking about high's & lows, lets hope tomorrow will end on a high.

So, ref to ski slope posts, (by you know who) the giant slalom is not that steep compared to the flying k. Are there no skiers on here that can back me up?? ( Even jokingly) I am talking steep slopes here, not the Welsh hills?? My point was, that was a very steep fall today, almost vertical, not to be compared with the giant slalom? So after a week of rising, a fall today, Correct me if I am wrong? (One at a time please)! As for the giant slalom (quote) fall at 1.55 today, that was more like the flying kilometre, the fastest, ski run in Europe, were skiers reach speeds of 255 K.P.H. faster than if you fall out of a plane (terminal velocity). But a bit of a bounce back, so not too bad? Tomorrow is, I think important, so hopefully the up trend won't turn, or do a narrative reversal? .

I googled it's meaning, But still don't have the faintest idea what is means, apart from abstract nonsense, & I am sure most on here haven't got a clue what it means either? Confusion rules?
