LIBERUM issued broker note on ITV this morning
warning of a drop in TV advertising revenues this year as a result of Brexit.
The broker also reduced the target price for ITV shares from 240p to 190p .

Well the bleeding obvious has been confirmed by Carolyn
that Brexit is screwing up UK business big time and TV advertising
in particular.
It is all now in the share price and any resolution to Brexit ( preferably
before my grandchildren die) will be a blessed relief.
A sizeable number of people will require psychiatric therapy after the greatest
soap opera in history is over and normal life will never be the same again.
You can have your Game of Thrones but nothing beats this tragic comedy.
Even House of Cards looks like Bambi in comparison.

I know but the costs of funding MPs in the Commons and their
pensions for life are also high but not as lucrative as in the European
Parliament.
Farage is on nearly twice the total emoluments of a junior UK member of parliament
when you take pensions into account and he hates the place.
It beggars belief the gravy train these incompetents are on and we are all paying for it.

Just one day to go on the Incanthera extension

Ian Whittaker based on the target price of 240p.

There are 40 major EU agencies which the UK is a member
of and which cover a range of matters including science, medicines, security
agriculture and food, airlines and other travel, health, financial services etc.
For example all UK citizens can avail of free healthcare when travelling
in the EU using the European Health Insurance Card.
The 1,300 UK employees working in the European Commission and Parliament
are contracted to the EU and redundancy/pensions/benefits will have to be repaid
by the UK ----Farage gets annual Euro MEP pension of £75,000 plus a tax-free lump sum
of £125,000 on retiring from EU parliament and a salary of £100,000 p.a
The estimated cost of the average redundancy/pension/benefits of these EU Commission
staff is c £ 2m( Farage alone could be over £3m) and then add in the other thousands
of UK staff in EU agencies and the UK commitments to the budgets already agreed
in 2018 and 2019 and maybe up to 2021 and you see where the figures are arrived at.
However, when the UK leaves(?) then payments to the EU cease but will the UK replicate
a lot of these Agencies themselves?

I have calmed down for now on Brexit
and back to ITV which I must admit is somewhat depressing.
We need Brexit to be sorted asap for any sort of recovery in the SP

Still no news on Incanthera deal
The optics here are terrible .

Please check what this £39b relates to namely
the salary/pension costs of UK employees ( 1,300) working
in the EU Institutions. joint scientific, military, security, economic,
regulations. foreign aid plus hundreds of other cooperative ventures
of significant importance to the UK and the EU employing over
80,000 UK employes directly and indirectly.
That is why the UK is chucking in £39billion.
But then again, facts don't matter to the ERG, DUP and the Trots in the Labour
Party.

In 1994 Sammy Wilson agreed with the UDA that ethnic cleansing, the repartition
of Ireland to get rid of all Catholics in Northern Ireland and leave it totally Protestant
would be a " valuable return to reality" and proposed interning or otherwise disposing
of Catholics who refused to leave Northern Ireland.
He called Northern Ireland Catholics " subhumans" and gays "perverts"
He is quoted as saying that he wants to leave the EU to get the "Ethics" out and purify
the British race.
There are numerous other fascist and mad statements from Sammy and even worse
from the other members of the DUP that the Tories have cuddled up to so as to keep
themselves in power.
It is beyond a joke and deeply disturbing.

I agree with you on Brexit particularly when a bunch of
fascist, anti-gay, anti-same-sex marriage, anti -Catholic/Muslims/Jews/Non-Whites,
anti-abortion, anti-Republic of Ireland, creationists, anti-democracy, former UVF
etc etc are holding the balance of power.
Northern Ireland voted by a big majority to stay in the EU but that doesn't stop the DUP
preventing the May deal from being passed even though it is great for Northern
Ireland and its economy.

There is no doubt that Brexit is a huge negative influence
on ITV and many other FTSE shares but nonetheless I
am not seeing the famed McCall management sparkle as yet.
If she bought a pile of shares it would be nice for investor confidence
but no sign of that happening.
I am sure many things are going on in the background and with
the Industry consolidating fast, mergers and acquisitions are going to increase.
Entertainment One's share price for example is up 30% since January 2018
ITV Studios in comparison would be valued at £5b if separately listed so there
are strategic options available to extract value.
Lets see will we get a bounce if Brexit is sorted in the coming weeks !!!

Since Carolyn McCall took over on the 1st January 2018
the ITV share price has fallen from 170p to 127p, a decline of
c25%.
Still no sign of any major strategic corporate developments apart from
a refresh ( whatever that means).
I feel she must be under pressure to boost the share price and means
selling ITV to the highest bidder if one or more start to nibble.
Shareholders must be frustrated at the performance and change in strategy
is now urgently required imho.

Apple TV + will be available in 100 countries in the Autumn
of this year .

AppleTV announces a tie-up with Britbox, the US collaboration with
BBC and ITV and rumours of further acquisitions of content companies
as analysts suggest Apple will move quickly to get a dominant position
in the digital TV space but needs content.
Chat on social media is that ITV is very much in Apple's eye.
Watch this space.

Very sad looking share price again this morning.
Totally unloved and unwanted amidst the continuing shambolic
Brexit meltdown.
Nearing multi-year lows.
Patience required with no sparkle evident from McCall as yet.

Big week ahead for Tim McCarthy's creditability in respect
of closing the Incanthera deal--leaving it late as usual.
Boy does this company need some good news after the
horrendous past 12 months.

I see Line of Duty ( 5th Series) has started again on BBC to universal acclaim.
This award-winning series is made by ITV Studios ( World Production ) for the BBC
and like The Bodyguard again made by ITV for the BBC is a major hit in the USA.
ITV Studios keeps pumping them out but how long before one of the big boys
sees the bargain that is ITV share price at just £1.32p just off 5-year lows.

Just over a week until the 3-month extension to conclude the
Incanthera deal expires.
Are we facing a Theresa May type extension of another 3 months
which I feel the Market ( as with the Brexit extension) will not like one little bit?
