Interesting to see viewing figures for yesterday's Ireland v England rugby
Rugby World Cup in the Autumn plus major new shows and Love Island et al
to come during the year.
Netflix is 90% dross
With ITV investing more in online/digital/ Studios and direct marketing
under the Strategic Refresh, all is not doom and gloom

Expect a dividend of c6p to be announced on 27th February
payable end May.

Agreed we have many hurdles to get over in ITV as investors
but hopefully the Trading Results for 2018 to be announced on the 27th February
will signal an upturn in our fortunes.
For now, we will have to grin and bear it.

The use of language in the Study such as ITV could lose most
of its advertising revenues which it needs to stay " afloat" is shocking
and implies ITV could go bust even though direct ITV advertising revenues
are declining as a % of total revenues thanks to Onlne and Studios.
An awful and uneducated analysis designed to spook ITV investors imho.
Share price down by 3.2% now

After the Cambridge Analytica scandal and it's subsequent
demise all Media Analytics companies are in the spotlight
and while I am not questioning the integrity of Ebiquity in any way
this study must have been paid for by a client and specifically targeted
ITV.
I am just posing the question.

It knocked the price down today from 134.15p earlier to around 129p
after study released.
Debt as per Interim Accounts published in September 2018 plus profits warning
in Trading Update on 22nd November 2018.

Ebiquity is an AIM listed minnow with a market cap of £45m and debt of £26m
and is no way " leading marketing and media consultancy" .
Specialises in media and analytics ( sound familiar ??)
I just wonder who commissioned the study which again has directly
knocked the ITV share price just when it was making a tentative recovery over
the past week

McCall plans to reduce reliance on direct advertising from
the current 50% of total revenues to 30% by 2022 and focus
on Online, Studios, and Direct marketing.
ITV is no longer 100% dependent on direct TV advertising and
don't forget ITV Studios is possibly valued at c £5b in it's own right.
Who the hell is Ebiquity anyhow-----suspicious of this "studies" and
who is paying for them!

I feel most investors will hold fire until they see what Dame McCall
will do in 2019 with her Strategic Refresh.
She must know that time is running out with the share price at multi-year
lows.
The price of failure is the loss of ITV's independence and a low-ball bid
I am going to hang around until later in the year to see how it all pans out.
I hope it is not a costly mistake.

Nolupus is 100% correct in stating that the results of the Extension
Trial involving 62 patients involved in the Phase 111 " remains on track to report
results IN QUARTER 2, 2019"
This was expressly confirmed in the RNS dated 7th December 2018 under Update on
Corporate Activities.

At this low SP she needs to have something major up her sleeve
or ITV days as an independent entity may come to an end

Everyone is entitled to their views.
However I always wonder why certain posters repeat their
negative views ad infinitum when they have no direct investment in the share
being discussed.

Investors Chronicle speculates that Ent One may be on the radar
of Netflix, Disney et al in the relentless search for content by the
global media giants.
Possible take out price close to £3b which would value ITV Studios,
a much larger content business with over 40,000 hours of content
and even larger archives at c£5b , the current market cap of all of ITV
Entertainment One shares up 5,5% today valuing it at nearly £2b

I forgot to mention The Voice which is shown in some format or other
in 180 countries and is the most successful brand in the non-scripted
Global marketplace to date.
ITV Studios is a huge success story and is growing fast
and McCall is committed to highlighting the value of the business
as she develops the new Refresh Strategy.

Huge worldwide audiences for The Bodyguard, Poldark, Love Island,
Vera, Line of Duty, I am a Celeb, The Chase, Queer Eye, Hell's Kitchen,
Sharp Objects, Victoria, Gomorrah, Suburra, the Cube et al
Over 8,500 hours of globally produced content in 2018--a record.
New content in 2019 including World on Fire, Snowpiecer, Noughts and Crosses,
Wild Bill, The Bay, Zero Zero Zero and much more presold worldwide in over 30 countries.
The recent Manhunt series had audiences of 7m in the UK and the Soaps regularly get
8m viewers per episode.
Rugby World Cup and other sporting rights obtained in 2019.
Netflix is absolutely rubbish for the most part and has debts that
could sink a small country and a valuation that is beyond comprehension.
Without ITV, BBC content what would UK viewers watch on Netflix apart from
about 6 or 7 shows. ITV's Unforgotten still the best on Netflix imho
A bit of perspective is required

Liberum today issued a number of counterpoints to the
BoA Merrill note and reaffirmed target price of 260p
It says the Brexit headwinds influencing the projected March 2019
advertising declines are already in the price and with the "no penalty " change for late
advertising bookings introduced by ITV the March numbers may be better than expected.
ITV is the only medium to deliver mass audiences with shows like Coronation Street, Emmerdale, I am a Celeb,
Love Island etc and with VOD revenues expected to have increased by over 50% in 2018 resulting in an
overall approval in total advertising revenues of c2% and growing.
Liberum noted that ITV is again the top European M&A pick in 2019 highlighting its
attractiveness and undervaluation.
Also, Netflix confirmed in its earnings update last night that it will be buying more
content this year from ITV and BBC which augurs well for further growth in ITV Studios.
