Irrespective of Trump/Biden, legitimate election or elected on a fraud - How will this affect Alien. Personally i think it will have the effect of causing instability in the markets, the Dollar $ losing even more value and a rush to safe havens like silver and gold AND dare I say it 'crypto-currencies'.

Anybody here have any direct experience with investing/trading Bitcoin etc? It seems a crazy concept but then again FIAT currency is only backed up by our confidence in our governments chancelleries AND right now governments are in low esteem. As my old grandmother used to say,

Which category do you fit in?

Personally I'm a bit of both as I suspect we all are but right now I'm 100% invested 'long term' with probably just under 2% of portfolio in Alien.

What is the consensus of opinion regarding Alien's market capitalisation at say end of Q2 2022? it'll be interesting to see people's opinions. All things being equal with the global economy settled down but heavily in the grip of QE so pm in a very long upward trend... being cautious a conservative 'estimate' would be 10p - 15p range. That's with a good few of the ducks lining up of course.

Where do you all think Alien will be end of Q2 2022?

....but within a few months, I give it six at best so by the end of May 2021 there is a very good chance that the shi..I mean the brown smelly stuff will hit the fan. The UK deficit will be unprecedented and huge, many small and medium size businesses will be destroyed and as a consequence, sadly mass unemployment will be unavoidable. QE will be ramped up both here and in the US with the Dollar $ slowly but surely devaluing.

What does all this mean for the likes of Alien... well gold and silver WILL head northward as well as 'strange' financial instruments such as crypto-currency which I still cannot get my head around (I mean,...What is it you are actually buying?). In the meantime we have a 'cure'...Hallelujah!... it's only took them a few months to create it and the timing is all very... what shall we say..'convenient'. Either way I'll not be partaking thank you very much, I think I'll take my chances with the extremely deadly disease.

Apologies for going off topic at the end... A good malt Whisky cures most ills I find.

There's a few pictures of my 'rock' which came from Bontddu (Clogau) back in 82 when I was 14 years old. I actually had three samples but I think I gave one away to a mate and the other got nicked! I hope the pictures can be seen... if it doesn't work I'll try again another day.

Just need to get some cash now to invest (again).

...the spread is relatively small but considering the sp I guess it has to be narrow. We're still in volatile times for a few obvious reasons. Give the situation time to settle down and normalise and I think we can look forward to a great 2021! Nothing guaranteed ofcourse and I like many of you are sitting on a fair loss (on paper) but that's the name of the game. Anybody who doesn't understand the risks (and I'm pretty confident that the majority of you do) really needs to get out of the stock market AND definitely not touch AIM with a bargepole! When you've got 'Doc' Holliday, Wyatt Earp and the Jesse James Gang as MMs what can you expect (apologies to the MMs.. those Stetsons and silver spurs sure do look mighty fine).

The company fundamentals have not changed, it helps if you believe we're going to be in a decade long bull market re PMs... then as others have stated, the massive iron ore play. Alien have so much going for it... it surely is worth a punt and right now the sp is in my opinion a bargain.

Please excuse the ramblings... i've hit the G&Ts a little early today... (Fevertree are a good buy!)

I've kept my powder dry on this BB for a little while now regarding the Dolgellau Gold Belt. I lived in this part of Meirionnydd from 1974 to 1991. I grew up there. As I type I am no more than ten foot away from a little box that contains a very special memory for me (and before anybody asks.. no it's not my Granny). In that box is a piece of granite/quartz rock AND gold... easily visible to the naked eye. When and where did I get it from? Summer 1982 from rock collected from within the entrance to the mine at Bontddu. It wasn't the main entrance but I guess a side adit. I was 14 years old and myself an a couple of school mates cycled there. There is more to this story but I this is not the time or place for it.

But just to confirm the gold is there... it is in the ground and the rivers and mountain streams to be had. Whether Alba can get it out and in sufficient quantity to be profitable remains to be seen and time will tell. If I can work out how to do it I'll try and post a photo of my little bit of rock and you can make your own minds up. I'm a bit of a technophobe but I'll try to get a link to the photo.

Right now, sadly I no longer hold any Alba shares but it is my intention to buy in the near future. There is a lot more to the company than the Welsh gold connection but it is for me a reason to invest... a little bit like buying a part of my childhood. that alone is worth it for me.

dickie... 5p by Christmas would be nice! I think with all the uncertainty around at the moment, impending fiscal stimulus packages afoot and the US Dollar seemingly in an unending downward spiral the prospects look good for ALL precious metals. Alongside this the need to clean up our small planet will mean many green initiatives being implemented around the world - and to be honest whatever your feelings are on green issues whether you think it is another way for governments to tax us or it is another method of controlling global population, cleaning up the planet and its atmosphere will be no bad thing in my opinion... and should be great for a company like Alien Metals.

double... You could well be right in your assumption regarding the US Congress and China, time will tell. I agree wholeheartedly that REE will, in the coming years be in great demand globally and that companies such as Rainbow will be positioned very well to take great advantage of this demand.

Thank you Max and Swiss. 2 Weeks sounds reasonable but like you Swiss the 4 - 6 week period has also been mentioned. I'm aware that if both parties are aligned to a certain platform.. I think it is called Origo, it can make the process quicker. My SIPP is a little convoluted... I have an IFA who arranged the original company transfer. He used another well known company who then split the pension one third to another (well known) company and the remaining two thirds to another (well known) company. I don't know whether I need to do the transfer through the original company or individually to the two sub companies. It is all rather convoluted as I say. I know yes I should telephone these people but have you tried getting through to some of these companies.. it's a nightmare. They were poor before Covid, now it is just an excuse for poor service. One of the many reason why I am going it alone... and not being charged £360 a month for the privilege!

In my opinion we're never going to be able to repay that money... certainly not in my lifetime. We never paid the Yanks back after WWI and we only just finished paying the US and Canada loans (made in 1945 and 1946 respectively) on 31st December 2006. With this in mind and massive QE in progress across the Western world I can only see the cost of Gold AND silver heading north... and rapidly heading north at that.

Selfishly I'd appreciate it if you could all keep the buy price low... at least for 6 weeks until I can get my SIPP transfer completed! On a serious note though has anybody on the BB here completed a SIPP transfer (from the likes of Prudential, Aviva etc) and if so how long did it take? I find 6 weeks to be a bit excessive. The type of transfer would involve selling/crystalizing all the funds/ETFs etc and having a cash transfer to my new SIPP account (directly managed by myself). Any answers gratefully received!

... becomes the next President of the United States I believe it is likely he will have a 'cosier' relationship with the Chinese (C.P) than say Trump did. How will this affect the likes of Rainbow? Will it have a positive, negative or neutral impact? I think there will be 'winners and losers' but I think the BoD of Rainbow will be one step ahead and will work to get the best result for Rainbow. That is my hope but what do you all think?
