BA have been very busy flying their planes around mostly loaded with Cargo on pax aircraft and also two converted 777s with all seats taken out.

Spot on Trading , I've a strong feeling that IAG have been very busy flying Cargo that their results won't be as bad as people expect, will be an interesting few weeks Ahead. Either way I remain invested nearly at breakeven.

Good post Tradingplaces69, the results will be interesting. I think IAG has done very well in their Cargo division, will be interesting to see where there at end of the month. Alot will be driven by what PM says next Monday. I too don't think £3 this year, but I would certainly say £2 to £2.50 assuming we get back to reasonable flying in time for the summer holidays. Simon Calder on BBC London this eve suggesting he thinks opening up in May for flying. He has a few contacts, interesting. Hopefully we will know more next week when Govt announced plans for coming out of lickdown. I remain invested here up about 35%. GL All investors.

I think if the market can see summer school holidays open to travel, the UK has adopted travel passports, the rollout of vaccines continues with majority of population vaccinated, death rates come down significantly and finally international borders open up as there rates under control too, then we should see some serious movement. The level of pentup demand will be huge. The airlines though must get clear indicator from the Govt if summer holidays abroad are on or off the table, otherwise it will be the UK staycation market that will be getting majority of the bookings!! Sunsurfer the results are expecting to be bad and will be priced in, unless any big surprises it will be what the Govt say on 22nd Feb in their lockdown exit plan I feel will drive movement here in short term. The big question in my mind can we travel overseas in the summer months and will other countries be in a position to let tourists in? These are the big unknowns at the moment. I remain invested unfortunately my average is at 169, so hoping to go back up over that in coming weeks and months ahead, GL All!!

I think the PM will be under enormous pressure to give us hope for the future. I think it will be his announcement that ia a key indicator to the SP here in the short term. Are foreign holidays in the summer on the cards or off the table is the key question.

I'm curious to the rumours Galwayboy, do tell. What I've heard a number of staff that were furloughed are now back at work. But also hearing around more VR being offered out again.

I wouldn't be surprised that when we resume trading, another RNS drops in with some significant news launching the SP upwards like a rocket!! Interesting times!!

Assuming we have meaningful travel during the school summer holidays from Jul, I think we will be back in the 180-200 range. Its all about getting people vaccinated, controlling the spread of the virus and unlocking the economy again getting us all moving. But, that's just the UK, we need that to happen with other countries so until other countries have vast amounts of their population vaccinated too and spread of the virus reduces drastically this will bounce around current levels. I do think do when things get moving here, the pent up demand will be so great that the SP will fly literally very quickly upwards and hence I remain invested here!! GL All!!

I think the bottom is 150, hopefully doesn't drop further. This is a good sign and will go up quickly when countries open up. The announcement on 22nd Feb shall be interesting in terms of a road map and I guess anything in there specifically for the aviation sector. Either way holders in here now will do well long term!! I continue to hold firm, I don't have time to day trade but good luck to those that do. Full year results will be interesting, hopefully no surprises and we march onwards and upwards!!

It all depends on whether we get to do so reasonable flying over the summer school holidays, that depends on rates if covid and people vaccinated in the UK and overseas, so at the moment still unknown particularly with spread of South African variant. Assuming we get to have a summer abroad then light at the end of the tunnel and march up towards £2. GL All

Trading places 69, my average was very high managed to get it down to 169 on a mixture of long term holding and a small batch of day trading, have averaged down. I may take small punt and sell off some for a buy back but I do believe there won't be any surprises and momentum will start building in the SP. I wouldn't be surprised high 160s before results, assuming vaccine news continues positive and the talk continues of holiday abroad this will continue upwards hopefully at least go past 169 so I'm in profit for change here. I never get it right with predictions but seeing that were heading towards spring, route out of lockdown will be known in next few weeks, unless there is serious surprises with the results, I cant see this going below 150. I think will hover around 160 mark but assuming we're coming out of lockdown early May and we hear timetables for other countries to open their borders, this will tick up towards 175-185 mark I recon. Mometum will push this towards £2 mark.

Happy if it stops at 160 and then steady growth next week. A very positive vibe in travel stocks today!! I think once borders open up this will absolutely take off!! Literally massive pent up demand, people want a holiday, everyone talking about getting away. Should do well invested here!!

It all depends where the results come in at e.g. on expectation, meet that or exceed it. The city will have priced in massive loss of earnings but if the results are better than predicted price will rise, but also could drop in the day due to profit taking. If results come in worse than predicted likely drop in price. I personally don't think there will be any surprises, IAG have been busy with Cargo flights and negotiating a good deal with Air Europa. With markets always looking ahead, the vaccine roll out gathering momentum I see the current SP starting to rise up as we head out of Winter, work towards an exit strategy out of lockdown and people having hope of a summer holiday. The 22 Feb is when the prime minister will produce Road map out of lockdown, depending on what it says will drive sentiment in SP. I'm backing a tick up in SP towards 165-180 level. I remain invested for the longterm. GL All!!

Let it roll - Option 1 for me! I was thinking along the same lines, not particularly about the shorters but more use the opportunity to deliver one punchy RNS!! When trading recommenced, this will be heading one way and its not South!!
