Its out in the public domain already so priced in, but when deal finally clears from European commission, should be a further uplift in SP I would have thought.

A strong finish in the US so this should open above 160 and I think finish around 165-168. The Air Europa deal assuming it goes through is good for IAG. I think with pent up demand, the SP here will recover alot quicker than some think. Alot of ground to be made up, assuming markets start to open up in the summer and lots of countries really getting on top of vaccinations, I think still £2.50 by end of 2021!! Will be interesting to see what happens!! GL All!!

Great news should drive up the SP nicely!!

Sunsurfer I think the public are kicking the door down for a holiday, there is massive pent up demand. I going we are at or close to the bottom now should move up to the 165-170 range. I was reading reports Easyjet holiday bookings up 250%, surely must be increase in bookings with the IAG airlines too. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I feel airlines is last main sector that is still very low and will rebound quickly. By end of the year I would say around £2.50 assuming no more surprises with Covid and all people vaccinated. GL All!!

I'm targeting the stocks that were hit the most that hopefully will see the biggest rises once Covid all finished, mostly transport stocks, but leisure stocks too.

A top up for me today at 159, I think we have reached or near the bottom of current trading range, people want holidays and interesting on Downstreet conference questions asked if we can book our summer holidays. With ramp up in vaccine rollout, I'm hoping the SP starts to gather momentum in next few mths. GL All!!

Hi I'm new in here today only invested 5k, I see some comments on an equity announcement? Are they going for a RI? Long term thoughts here? Surely this company will survive? Views welcome, my other investments mostly transport stocks, all on the way back up.

I think already priced in and airports will get support. People are kicking the door down to get away, saw Simon Calder on TV on Sat saying how prices are going up etc as more people keen to travel particularly over 50s. Maybe a small dip tomorrow, people can still fly they need to have a negative covid test. With majority of staff on furlough, vaccine rate building up and now seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, I can see IAG heading back towards 175-185 range. GL All were ready for final checks and take off!!

I just read a post that jobs at risk with London Gatwick with Norwegian stopping longhaul flying. Has this been posted here today? Possibly explain a tick up in SP?

I agree everyone wants to get away, even me and the Mrs thinking the same!! Once some level of normality returns, this should tick upwards quite nicely!!

Vaccine momentum gathering pace, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I cant really see this going lower than 150p now, hopefully momentum builds and we get out of lockdown before Easter!! Back towards £2 mark once we hit spring and assuming large amounts of population vaccinated and no new surprises for us. I can see this st £2.50 by year end assuming there is a reasonable increase in flying schedule. GL All!!

Like your sentiment Dickie, I don't think we can specifically say it will triple though, surely that's down to the market and overall demand. If PIs piling in and big institutional investors once hard concrete figures in, I've a feeling it could go up much much more!! Either way I will be happy, loaded up here, in profit and hopefully make a tidy sum!! GL All!!

Good post Robbie, travel recovery this year is all about the vaccine. We need to get it out to the masses and that will take time. Travel will recover but in my opinion and many others going to take a few years before getting back to pre covid levels. There is massive pent up demand, people want to get away so growth first in leisure with Business travel taking longer. IAG in my opinion are primed to fo very well, a trimmer airline, less costs, new more efficient aircraft, buying Air Europa for a steal and setting up Aer Lingus UK to operate LH routes ex Manchester. I think IAG will do very very well. They have plenty of cash to survive this, alot of remaining staff on furlough and the aircraft that are flying majority bringing in money for IAG Cargo. Buy now and hold long term 3-5 years+, you will most certainly double your money and possibly more. GL All!!

Frenchinvest good Post, the other thing worth mentioning IAG setting up Aer Lingus UK subsidiary to fly flights out of Manchester, filling a gap where Thomas Cook previously flew on some if the routes. When the world recovers, IAG is well primed in my opinion to take advantage of the pent up demand. In the meantime there will be some turbulence. Hilders here for Medium and Longterm will do fine!!
