There might be a bit of that but more likely they just think that something else will give a bigger return in the short term whereas eve might not. The odds have moved in favour of that being true. Still doesn’t exclude the possibility of a surprise or two or even doing well in the long run if that’s what your opinion is

Well, we will get the AGM soon (already announced by this time last year: '26/04/2021 Eve Sleep plc: Posting of 2020 Annual Report and Notice of Annual General Meeting') and they may use that opportunity to update on the channel 4 sponsorship which is supposed to begin 'in April'. I haven't seen any sign of it yet.

Maybe CC will reduce marketing spend over the summer if she thinks now is not a good time to get value, if customers are going to be reluctant to spend anyway. Anyway, she will know what works and what doesn't work. She does like TV for the eve customer.

When I did a DIY bed and ISA it took a couple of days for the cash to be transferable, so anything could've happened with the SP and spread while I was partially out. HL weren't offering their 'Bed and ISA' service at the time. (TBH, I don't know anything about their service and how it works.)

These people have popped up before but apparently they have a 'new' service (which I'm not sure is very different from the 'old' service).
If they can get some used eve mattresses (and other brands..) on eBay instead of in the bin it's has to be good.

Eve sent out their job vacancies again tonight, on Linkedin. Some of the same ones. They must have to offer good perks to get good people and even then they are perhaps struggling to fill the roles (or just want to get the highest number of applicants possible before the interviewing begins).

This is an interesting read on EV battery recycling, and arguably a bit worrying. On the other hand I have heard that car batteries are lasting longer than anticipated which is good pf course.

No. This is one of the myths about Henry Ford. This derives from the socalled “five dollar day” offered by Ford in 1914. This was not the wage. The wage he offered to workers during World War 1 was a bit more $2 a day — typical for non-union employers of unskilled labor. The other half of the $5 was profit sharing — and not everyone was eligible and you had to submit to intrusive controls over your private life.

The reason Ford offered the profit sharing was that he had a huge problem finding people who could stick out the mind-numbing, oppressive level of intense work pace under the “progressive production” system he set up in 1910–1917. There was massive turnover. People were quitting constantly. The only way Ford could maintain a workforce under the highly oppressive regime he had in his factories was to offer the profit sharing.

Later on in the 1920s other auto makers in Detroit were forced to adopt the same intense work pace & work organization as Ford — because it enabled Ford to reduce labor costs, and thus reduce the price of his cars — falling from around $800 in 1908 to $270 by 1927. So after the other manufacturers in Detroit went over to the same level of work pace intensity and oppressive control, workers had to stick it out — and thus Ford stopped giving the profit sharing. He didn’t need it any more to maintain his workforce. By 1927 his pay level was $2.43 a day except for the tiny handful of skilled trades people (about 14 percent of the workforce). So by the mid 1920s Ford’s pay levels were not different from other non-union manufacturers in Detroit.'

This woman was on tv news last year. She’s a politician and easily contactable so I emailed her details of the trial. She has a cancer on the Ava6000 list and her hospital is the Marsden. She thanked me which was not necessary but at least I knew she read the message.

She’s in the public domain so good reminder of the human benefit of a possible treatment that works.

Now, I don't believe in Octopus predictions but probably enough people did believe and actually influence betting odds once Paul had made a prediction.

Even if you don't believe in Zak or charting, or simply don't have the skill to do it well (me), if enough investors do believe then the charts *do* matter.

Some people on here seem to have many many £1000's – life changing amounts – and yet go out of their way to scoff at what could affect the sp. It's surprising to me.

My 'offence' is to post in support of someone you don't like (or you don't like their posts).

I wrote from France as we were getting tested for covid in France, to travel home. I commented on the testing regime we had to go through. Seemed relevant to this BB at the time but you disagree now?

And to correct the details as you have forgotten them: I don't have a house in France. My French wife doesn't have a french ouse, BUT my French mother in law does have a house in France, which is quite normal for French people. There isn't a pool, just a lake.

Why twist what people say in good faith to suit your own agenda? it's just unworthy of an intelligent investor in Avacta.

Are you also going to mention that Mr Spacetomato (popular on this Avacta BB) also had a French theme, invested in HE1 and had good relations with Wyn? Are you going to accuse him as being part of the tag team?

Most people are bored of these accusations. Face it that Wyn makes good points even if you don't agree with most of them; allow some people to appreciate them please.

Wyn said that the price of AVCT will go up and he still gets criticised. And I get criticised for pointing out that Wyn goes on the price HL quote. Please start a new day by posting stuff that is helpful rather than argumentative for the sake of it. I'm sure you have posters you exchange friendly views with. Is that a right you claim solely for yourself?
