The point being trrime that the only way that the sp will reflect the cash injection in FULL is if it is distributed as a special dividend. The sp will rise by 5p per share if and only if that 5p is paid to shareholders as a dividend.

Agreed BD - moreover drilling is usually paid post event not in advance, so drilling could take place without SCIR having to stump up the money. It would allow the possibility of creating some post drill "Heads of Terms" and still avoid having to resort to funding....

OG there is a serious likelihood that if they get offered $30m for 25% the Board will bite their bloody arm off..... Will the PI's risk voting it down? I doubt it.

Intertrader is a Gibraltar based Spread Betting and CFD broker - in short their positions will simply represent the trades of their underlying clients; they will hedge their exposure in the market though this may not be a "like for like" 100% reflection of their net position. So the fact that their holding is reduced marginally is probably only an indication that a number of their underlying clients have chosen to close their open long positions.... or a number of clients have opened a number of shorts, which will then reduce the company's "net" long position.

Yes Mather, I do believe Q1 is feasible - with a fair wind. Suitable rig availability and proximity being the most obvious dependencies.

But potatospud when RA stated that, circa 6 months ago, he wasn't expecting to wait until October to get the F/O approved was he? So maybe he will just have to get used to being disappointed - along with all the rest of us long suffering shareholders.

Steve I think that statement was meant to be an alternative to the Ntorya production; I certainly got the impression that production was to come from "new" as then unidentified acquisitions? On the assumption that they would no longer be a part of the Ntorya JV by that time.

Though I will admit that was just my interpretation.

Agreed CP, if you go back far enough on this Thread you will see that, in effect that was my starting point; why would people continue to hold this share after the CH1 drill? The inference being that it is likely to spike at that point and then settle back until the next material landmark. So maybe this is not a long term hold but a series of shorter term holds - maybe all the way to production and beyond

That is a fair challenge BG and I accept that AEX is not directly comparable to WEN, nevertheless the analogy is valid in my view - even if AEX eventually has an income far greater than WEN's, looking at WEN's MC it would have to be many times that figure to justify an sp of 10, 8 or even 6p. And how long will it be until that income exceeds WEN's income markedly?

I also fully recognise that income is not the only driver - assets are vitally important too and AEX has potential far greater asset wealth than WEN I agree but the value of these assets will be (always have been) highly discounted due to time to market, development risk and other considerations.

Oh and yes, I do recognise that it is not a fair comparison as WEN is hobbled by their UK AIM listing only being their secondary market and without any meaningful UK liquidity but you get my point, I hope?
