I wasn't questioning whether your lists are facts or not Roger, nor do I take issue with yours or anyone else's list(s) - I am simply pointing out that facts may be facts but through selective use, even they can be made to articulate, or illustrate, two quite opposite viewpoints.... they are just part of a narrative, certainly not all of it.

Oh and Roger can you confidently say that all of your posts are "factual" and never simply a statement of an opinion? Moreover even if they are all factual, even those "factual" statements are at the very least "selective" - the lists that are frequently posted are , typically, all positive statements or, from the naysayers, negative.... all may (I stress may) be factual but even then hardly "balanced"....

To be clear Roger I agree that whilst posts and BB like this may well contribute to accentuating share spikes on material events like drills etc, I do not believe they have a material longer term impact on the sp (hence my comments the other day about people being stuck on spikes). Nor can I deny that there have been, possibly, many people inveigled into, or out of investing into shares such as AEX on the disingenuous or even the totally genuine posts of others. Which is why that if I were to jump into one side of the fence or the other I would tend to err on the cautious side; I have been in shares and the posts on this, and other, BB's (DDDD, NUOG, AUOG etc - managed to bail out on the last two) was overwhelmingly on the positive side and where the "derampers" and even the simply "cautious" were derided by all and sundry but look what happened to those. Have a look at the posts of CRL on DDDD. Previously the most positive and active of all posters but now leading a rear-guard action to get legal restitution for shareholders after the 4D Pharma delisting....

I could live with the idea of someone losing out on a good profit (we have all done it) based on my posts but I would hate being held responsible for someone losing their shirt.

So Roger, I said I would respond to your assertions:

Trading - I used to trade quite a it back in the "noughties" (CFD's primarily - not AEX) but never really had the time to do it properly as it is pretty much a full time commitment and, possibly as a consequence, was not very successful. Moreover as you seem to know who I am, you may also know that I am a Director and SMF (look it up) of a number of FCA regulated entities and as such have to go through a compliance and governance process for any and every share sales or purchases I may make and "trading" is not allowed. Moreover even if I could I really do not have the time to be following prices and trades. It has been a nearly week since I last read the BB!

As regards the "balance" issue, you raise. Well fwiw I do not and never have (a decade?) taken Rojo's posts seriously, even when he was posting as Apache, and I am amazed that you do either. I am sure that 90% of what he posts, he posts simply to wind people like you up; which he seems to succeed in very well :0). Furthermore rarely is there anything he posts that even justifies a response! Even if I did it is hardly necessary you alone match him post for post and that is before adding to that the responses from BG, Tanzania, Edgar etc. As for Aimster ? I actually think most of Aimster's posts are fair and rational and the questions he poses justified; and again his posts are vastly outnumbered by the likes of the above. Even if you add my few posts to the "-ve" bucket, the scales still tips heavily towards the +ve.

I would also argue that the majority of my own posts are NOT even -ve, simply that they are not wholly +ve

I certainly would not accuse any of the names listed above of being posters who I consider are deliberately deceitful or attempting to be manipulative. I do believe that to be true of Prosiwhatsit and mctripe BUT whereas Prosiwhatsit posts once in a blue moon, Mctripe is here, most days, from dawn 'til dusk with a ratio of posts about 1:25 in the "rampers" favour - so I certainly do not see the need to add to that ratio, my few posts each month would hardly make much difference

Again fwiw and as I have stated umpteen times in the past, I do NOT believe that anything that gets posted here actually makes the slightest bit of difference to the sp; anyone posting here with that "agenda" is wasting their time in my view (you only have to look at the share price history to see that) but it certainly doesn't stop them trying.

So whatever your response, this is my last word on the issue - most posters find it tedious.

Well I am very glad that you know the truth about traders Roger - perhaps then you would be willing to let us all know what it is? There is a fine line between traders and short term investors Roger methinks - what is it? Where is the dividing line? Those who invest for a few weeks versus those that, say, invest for a few months? And what about those indeed who were sucked in with the prospect of some over hyped, short terms news that never materialised, anticipating an investment of a few weeks and who have been stuck in AEX for months simply looking for their next exit opportunity.....

And for your information and whilst I am NOT a trader, I don't "despise" the out and out investors (I am one) I simply wish to call out those who will not accept that an opinion is simply an opinion and is as equally valid as their own, that it might actually come without an "agenda" and is offered purely as a counterpoint to the often, hyperbolic, evangelical, self-interested, dismissive and sometimes deliberately disingenuous assertions of those that really ought to be looking in the mirror before making accusations about others.

I am optimistic about the prospects for AEX - that is why I am and have been an investor in AEX for 13 years but that does not mean that I am blind to the risks, delays, obfuscation, dependencies or uncertainties that exist with my investment (I have lived them) and, unlike some, I am happy and confident enough to air my concerns. I am also not blind to those (hypocrites) who choose, conveniently, and narrow-mindedly to dismiss any contrary view to their own as self interested manipulation whilst doing exactly the same themselves.

Oh and I very much know the "cap" that I wear Roger, it is the same one I have been wearing for 13 years.

Oh and BG, apologies, yes you are right, there has been an evident uptrend from early 2021 I agree - and am not seeking to contradict you. I am simply pointing out the "spikey" nature of the AEX sp and my belief of the reasons for it.

Oh and by the way Rogerjolly, if you are suggesting that I am an AEX trader, or that I know others who are, you are very much mistaken - a convenient explanation for dismissing any more balanced or opinion that doesn't support your own but totally wrong in my case.

Lol, yet more total BS from the mctripe. I would suggest that the chart he refers to illustrates exactly what I have alluded to; a number of short term spikes that dissipate very soon - at least four of them. But hey, what do I care? I will leave him to his fantasy world.....

Jacktrade, as I am sure you are more than aware and as I believe, the absolute size and market cap of a particular share is only part of the equation - more influential factor is the available liquidity and how quickly shares become available when demand grows. If shares are freely available it doesn't matter how many buys there are, they will be met with an equal number of sellers. If those holding the shares are sitting tight and the liquidity is limited the share price could rise quite quickly. The issue with AEX and similar shares is that, as they are largely PI owned when price rises, sellers are fairly quick to cash in and any spike is slow to form and then quickly recedes. Historically it has only truly significant developments like a successful drill or GSA that have tended to create a sustained sp rise for any significant period of time after release.

Yep, couldn't agree more and, let's face it, no-one would know that better that mctripe!

I would agree tat the sp can be driven north by PI's just look at the sp in the run up to Nt2 drill - there was little to no II involvement there either - however the problem with having no II involvement is that any price rise tends to be short lived; PI's tend to bank their profits very quickly whereas II's have a longer term agenda.

Actually RJ that list looks like one Drewky could have written in Q2 2016 at the time of the "back to back NT2 &3 drills". Many of the items on the list were on the agenda even then! Apart from "production" of course - we were still producing from KN1 in 2016...How time flies eh, 7 years in "no-time"?!

No Roger I don;t think so, nervous investors maybe but then as I suggested previously Roger, a convenient justification on the downside but conveniently ignored when as the markets were, seemingly, demonstrating improving confidence between October and March, (when both the two indexes quoted by mctripe, Footsie 100 and AIM, both rose by circa 20%) AEX was at best "dormant" and actually declining.

The reality is that AEX is a "special situation" stock whose fortunes rise or fall on news, whether good or bad, or as in AEX's case (as the last 6 + years has demonstrated) the lack of either..... no news and the price declines as the "rinse and repaeters" as you call them or the short term traders go with the (news) flow.

To suggest tat AEX is in any way correlated to the wider indes is a facile and hollow asertion in my view - and note that at least I offer it as my view and not as a "fact". But maybe that is because I don't have an "agenda" to peddle? Contrary to he whose every utterance is a "fact".

If it is correlated to anything (published) it would most likely to be a small Cap Oil & Gas index, though the closest published indexes that I can find are the FTSE 350 Oil & Gas index or the FTSE All share Oil and Gas Index (though even that would be stretching it), which have been up and down like a yo-yo over the last 6 - 12 months but are now about where they were 6 months ago and considerably above where they were 12 months ago....

Anyone got anything better?

AEX is NOT correlated to the Footsie or to AIM not least because AEX is not part of either of those indexes; Indeed if your claim were true why oh why was it that when the markets were rising between October and March (Footsie 6,800 to 8,000) AEX were actually going down mctripe? Do you actually believe your own hogwash?
