Negative scaremongering?! Total bol locks. For goodness sake RJ, it is nothing of the like. I have not even suggested that the Environmental Study WILL be a reason to delay the Dev License approval! I have simply been posing a very plausible explanation as to why we haven't get received the much vaunted Dev License approval after so much hype and PR from the Tanzanian authorities. If that proves to be the case then we will be waiting a little while yet for that approval - nothing less and nothing more.

And no RJ I have not sold any AEX shares but note how quickly you resort to the same old hackneyed slights as soon as anyone challenges or questions you on your own particular views or opinions; attacking the messenger if you don't like the message. Buy hey, I will resist resorting to the same base mud slinging. It just happens to be my view, in the same way that yours is RJ; but I would suggest that the Board's version of the situation is probably more reliable than yours.

They simply draw parallels between Itumbula with 4.7% helium and other producing discoveries with lower rates - however 4.7% helium in and of itself does NOT make it commercial, that depends on other factors, most importantly flow rates, with or without stimulation (yet another thing still to be assessed). The Basin modelling may provide some clues but without EWT tells them very little and there is not guarantee that they will make the basin modelling known prior to EWT and even less that it will do much for the sp without the EWT results.

And yet our BoD have explicitly stated in the recent RNS of the TPDC that:

- "It is in the process of completing the necessary Environmental Impact Study in relation to the construction of the Pipeline."

So now are are suggesting that our BoD are telling porkies in an official RNS?

And that from the person that always used to tell us not to speculate on second guessing the BoD but to take what the BoD tell the shareholders at face value as they are the people that most know what is going on.

But Crypt the "good news" can only come after a successful Basin modelling, EWT and, potentially an appraisal drill of TAI3 or Itumbula; without these they cannot officially claim them to be a "commercial discovery". All that has to be paid for.... the 7th Feb "raise" RNS specifically states that the £4.7m raise only covers the "planning" and "determination" of the future work programme but claims nothing about covering the execution of it. The EWT and appraisal well drilling would form part of the execution and not the planning.

Best then to repost them - if I remember the post that you are referring to correctly there was nothing in it that could possibly cause offence was there? Wasn't it in relation to the Environmental Study as being a possible cause for a delay in the approval of the Dev License? Nothing more than that I think.

That wouldn't be my definition RJ. That sounds simply like the definition of a rational investor; asking pertinent questions and not simply accepting the received wisdom.

Yes Ufufuo, if you consider the "optics" of the Development License approval, the TPDC could appear to be a little premature giving official approval of a License to develope Ntorya before the successful outcome of the Environmental Impact Study rubber stamps the building of a pipeline? It might be a "done deal" but due process may need to be seen to be done.

All that you list below is indeed on the "agenda" for the next 12 months or so but, as I have expressed here for the last couple of days, this recent, strong and very welcome rise in the sp is seriously at risk if we do not get the Dev License announcement and get it soon. The momentum could reverse very quickly and I would hate for joyo's prediction of 1p by next Friday to be proven correct!! ;0)

Seriously though, after the trip by the TPDC to see ARA and AEX in Muscat it seems strange that there was no direct mention of the License at that meeting, or at least, no official reference to it. It occurred to me at the time that the real reason behind the meeting was for the TPDC to provide a status report on the PIpeline but also on the License position.

What do we know? That without a pipeline the Dev License cannot be "executed", that a Tender for pipeline construction is expected to be issued in July but only after the outcome of the Environmental Impact Study. The implication is that the pipeline construction is contingent on the outcome of that study, so maybe they TPDC cannot "officially" notify ARA and AEX of the approval of the License until after successful completion of the Environmental Impact Study?

If so we might yet have some time to wait and, as I suggested last week, if we have to wait any significant length of time for it, the sp will suffer.

Yes SC we read it earlier today - It wasn't very interesting then and it is no more so now.

As I said earlier whatever they may or may not be doing it would hardly involve the whole of the Parliament. What might they be doing? Presenting a Ntorya licence perhaps? Yes or maybe 100 other things instead.

Exactly RJ, another 6/7 years of indexation would be applied to that number.

But the CPI figure would still be applied to that number! So if we were still producing gas from Kiliwani that is now pretty much what we would be getting.
