Well Ashton Rach may well have been correct about a raise but not, I suggest, the reasons for it?! Who on earth would have predicted another acquisition right now to add to the many already in the portfolio.....? An acquisition would ordinarily be perceived as "accretive" once the numbers, value and strategy have been fully explained and therefore not necessarily "dilutive". Maybe once this has been explained in the New Year the penny will drop for shareholders - until then it remains somewhat baffling and not evident how this will be perceived as accretive and adding shareholder value.

The Telegraph today has read a Peel Hunt report:

“ One-third of smaller British companies are at risk of being picked off the stock market in a takeover next year after a slump in UK share prices, a City investment bank warned.

Peel Hunt said small and mid-cap companies worth up to £250m listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) were highly vulnerable to acquisition in 2025 - with one in three at risk.

It comes as stock valuations have plunged this week amid expectations that the US Federal Reserve and the Bank of England will make fewer interest rate cuts next year.

According to Peel Hunt, 32pc of AIM companies with a market cap of £50m to £250m have seen their share price fall by more than 30pc in the last 12 months leaving them ripe for an approach from a buyer next year.”

"After Nt-1, Nt-2 and CH-1, phase two of drilling will commence. That will most likely be another $140 million of which 25% is USD 35 million."

As, if that is your earlier assertion is actually your considered opinion it really only goes to prove how totally ignorant you are of the basic facts here. AEX are fully carried for the FFD of an 8 well drill programme.

The most important take-away for me is that Selan seem to know exactly what they are doing and provides substance to the idea that they would not be embarking on this exercise if they did not have total faith in its success. The fact that they are willing to give SYN such a large free carry and allow them to take such a considerable proportion of the upside speaks volumes.

Taken a few more this morning in an attempt to reduce my average yet further.

Agreed Rob, yet another addition to a confused and confusing array of unconnected assets none of which are remotely close to production. This facility will not "add value" to the mineral assets that 80M already owns, so whilst the addition of a production might be seen to make 80M a vertically integrated company it won't vertically integrate their existing assets.

The only benefit of this acquisition is that with an income stream coming into the company it might mean that future cap raises for the monetisation of its "primary" assets will be somewhat mitigated or at least reduced.

If this causes an sp rise (questionable) I will be withdrawing from this holding.

Thanks for that Gordon. Intriguing. So now the focus has changed diametrically! But then how would that new flow rate "more than double production"? That makes little sense..... mmmm.

Perhaps 'intermittent oil producers' alongside the gas production Sprint?

Really good news and hopefully the first of many such good news stories. Let's hope it has a pro rata impact on the share price and allows me to get my money back!☺️

TOC, if you are going to make such claims it would only be fair and reasonable to announce the source of the information. Then your audience can make up their own minds as to the likely validity of the claim. But to claim that you had the inside track on that FS information now looks to be, justifiably, questionable.

Whatever the basis and source of your information H4H (totally discredited as was subsequently proven) it cannot be denied that it raised false and, as it proved, unrealistic expectations that were totally dashed, causing disappointment and sowing doubt amongst many, whilst giving the naysayers more ammunition and justification to undermine longer term shareholders as sycophantic, rose tinted optimists .
