FWIW I do believe that unless we find a Farm-In partner for the Medway CCS very soon, or decide to scrap the project entirely, there is every chance that we will need more funding in the next few months. But I don't have to make up stories about my having spoken to Roland who

I fear so Rojo based on the balance and direction of trades both today and over recent days. However the volumes in either direction have been trivial - it will only take one piece of positive news to reverse that trend dramatically. The question I suppose is when might we get it?

If we don't get pipeline news very shortly I fear that when we do it will be a double edged sword. Along the lines of "construction of the pipeline was started today but completion is not now anticipated until xxxx25".... So maybe end of Q2 for production?

I am still hopeful that April is doable but the clock is ticking and Christmas looms.

No, it is confirmation that a major holder has been shedding 5% of the company's shares. As if we needed confirmation. The sp has been under pressure for weeks if not months.

PB we already know that they are looking to raise £8.5m from an issue of shares at an issue price of 10.5p, so, doing some maths no less than 80 million shares and a further issue of 9.5m shares through the "retail" offer - so 90 million shares as an initial estimate plus an additional quantity sufficient to cover the costs of the two "placings" - so add on a few million more.

So, certainly not definitive but it will not be far off the eventual mark.

Anyway , that's enough from me for the day - off to catch a train up to town now; Christmas lunch today, the second of many!.

"Fairly small amount"? Really - it is a 20% dilution. And yes it may well not affect the longer term but more than enough to wipe out any beneficial affect of yesterday's Genmab news and, I suspect, the forthcoming trail news.

And yes, a cap raise was always an option BUT as you yourself stated only on Wednesday EE - "Re the perceived drag of the funding question, I think that is a total red herring........ It is entirely possible, I think, that there will need to be no new share issues at all.".

Well fwiw EE, I have bought a few more this morning to average down (water down) those I bought post AGM. That'll be it, for now at least. All now waiting on forthcoming trial results.

But very disappointed after all those references to there being no need for dilutive funding and their having plenty of funding options available. Someone being somewhat disingenuous there methinks and, whether by design or not, it certainly seems to have convinced some. But then I suppose it is very easy to hear only what you want to hear.

I find it somewhat ironic that much of the comment after the morning RNS was the received wisdom that the 2nd Genmab deal was indicative of some forthcoming milestone payments for "Genmab 1"..... well what does this raise say about those prospects? Hardly need a raise of £9+m if there was any likelihood of any meaningful milestone payments in the offing surely?

Well EE I have bought recently - after the uber positive AGM reports that, amongst other things, suggested no need for an imminent placing - so yes, I am BLOODY annoyed. Moreover we will now see the best part of 90 million shares flooding the market over coming weeks so little chance of any meaningful sp rise for quite some time.

The "retail" offer is just a sop to the PI's and, frankly, pointless the churn of placing shares will ensure that there is plenty of opportunity for PI's to buy at or even below the placing price over coming weeks.

Oh well no-one to blame but myself; next time I will ensure that I clear the decks to attend the AGM.

It is just as likely, in my view, that someone has decided that this is the time to capitalise on a capital loss - a "back to back" deal or indeed a "back to SIPP" or similar.

EE, regarding your 9:52 post I fully recognise that the up front payments is of limited value or concern, I was simply asking if and how this payment may have been arrived at. I also agree that the biggest takeaway from today's news is that it confirms that Genmab's confidence in the platform is very strong, sufficient in fact to use it again and pay for it. However I do think that it is a stretch to conclude that it prefaces an imminent or even an up and coming milestone payment on the first "deal". That said I will willingly concede that you were 100% correct on the early announcement of today's new deal and so am happy to accept that it may be a strong possibility.

I also would underline your opinion that today's deal points to SCLP being grossly undervalued. That "milestone payment", when it eventually lands and irrespective of it's nominal value will be proof of that pudding in my view. It will be a precursor of things to come and a marker of that future, so far unrealised, value.

Okay miavoce thanks. I was simply just trying to understand how they might have arrived at a settlement on the "number"? So no great methodology behind it at all then? Totally arbitrary? And on the first deal represents only 1% of the total potential payment.

Just one question, open to all. Any ideas on what the initial payment is meant, or designed, to cover? Is this the amount perceived as being necessary to develope a potential treatment to trial stage? (Assuming successful, of course).

Weren't we looking to farm-out 25% of Medway CCS project and that was with a 50% Farm-in partner. Are we now looking for a 75% Farm-in partner? Lol! Yes and I will be Pope in 2025....
