Yes the Modify trial is producing some exciting data 'it works' I know some don't like that phrase but clearly, it does and no that does not mean modi 1 is going to be a world-beating commercial product or indeed commercial at all (though early signs there are -encouraging) As we know modi products are made of parts and it is getting those parts right that will determine how potent the product is.... have scancell got it right with modi 1's chosen vimentins and a-enolase? dunno from this early data... however that one ovarian patient in Cohort 1 dosed only with vimentins in a low dose reportedly had stable disease indicates that probably at least one of those vimentins is a good un.... And the DTH in all dosed so far means scancell has gotten the initial part of the product's purpose working Lindy at AGM said the DTH in the first 3 Cohort 2 patients was 'lovely' ... Where those T cells go and what they do next is another question though it does look like at least some are heading to the TME and doing what they should and no toxicity means they are not killing self-cells or at least not ones that are not already stressed, of course ultimately it'll be down to OS.....

A whole new class of immunotherapy has arrived with the moditope platform one that uniquely utilises killer CD4 T cells it's non-toxic comparatively cheap and easy to administer and many many different products can be produced..... Wonder will the project blueprint be revived this time with big pharma money :)...It's certainly a platform that to get the most from will need huge amounts of money invested in ... When do Sahin /Tureci make a move or for that matter Mellman as you got to think they are 'aware' by now that Lindy 'interesting idea' is now more a reality especially in BioNTechs case as that TCR work from trial blood started with Sams team as soon as they came in...

Or to boil that down .... if a Modify patient does not show a DTH then they are likely not going to be benefiting from the vaccine... its kinda of a must see

Moditope is a novel mechanism in immunology novel in as much as it hasn't been utilised before so it'll be hard to compare other immunotherapies with it in relation to the DTH question... as well from my small understanding DTH is all about CD4 t cells and as we know that is what moditope is about too... triggering a CD4 cytotoxic t cell reaction against cancer and not self... That DTH is seen in all 23 means the initial part of the mechanism is working as if that were not happening then well moditope ain't happening ....

So long as the DTH is indicative of CD4 t cells targetting cancer cells which in the case of moditope vaccination is the idea DTH is a very good thing... not so good is DTH in type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis T cells attacking self.....

No is the simple answer to that one.... Moderna has no tech that makes scancells redundant :)

Staff on LinkedIN are happy to be posting the latest Modify update with one adding 'Very' to the already official 'Encouraging' ... you'd expect they'd know .... Onwards and hopefully upwards although I dunno if it means cheaper shares for me ... so bees it... wonder if the Diggle might wiggle ...

Again personally I think we are missing decent investor comms... always been criticised on here but now they are pretty much down to naught and we might have to go off RNS's only and wait for AGM and someone to kindly do a recording...

I'd say there is almost a sense that now Lindy has what she wants especially the Modify trial she is not really interested in the market as it were.... as CSO that is fine as CEO it is not especially if that tin needs to be rattled.... Sure she may know that won't be needed but still we the non Vulpes Redmile investors need and RG/CH role filler

Yes no way after the GenMab deal then positive Covidity and then encouraging first Modify data would RG have been missing in fact on each of those big for tiny scancell events he would have been on videos

The business arm ain't too bad it brought in Vulpes / Redmile and did a decent pre clinical novel mAb deal with GenMab.... It's the comms that have gone off... unfortunately that is down to Lindy now.... RG and CH did cater to pi's by doing events and investor media.....

Also, patient 1 is now deemed stable although possibly with slight reduction she is still on the partial response rung only not moving up or most importantly down... I think this is where pi are worrying.... stable is a bit too close to the rungs below it....Again I'd love a Lindy Q&A and after three massive for Scancell chunks of newsflow I think we deserve some such communication

If we look at it as a ladder 'Stable' is the first positive rung up on a ladder in which previously the rungs were all going 'progressively' down.... 'partial response' is the next rung up and then 'complete response' is at the top.... The fact that a DTH response is had in all patients indicates that there is a potential to get everyone moving up that ladder but this is a trial.... modi 1 is a pioneer of a whole new novel CD4 T cell Immunotherapy class with huge potential .... Scancell will be learning from it -scans blood samples biopsies ... I have no doubt Lindy is thinking and working almost 24/7 on the questions that it is arising (that is possibly a detriment to other aspects of the company such as pi communication and Scancell has 3 other platforms)

Sure does and looks like unfortunately, her shared experience has become a trading tool... Great news that her aggressive progressive Cancer after the partial response is Stable...But yeah this is a trial that hopes to have data from over 130 patients by its conclusion....

WIP no patient 1 from the mac board is from the first 3 Cohort 2 patients.... This trial is going to be a rocky sp road going from the last 2 days lol....

What I'd really like is an investor Q&A with Lindy we had them in the past with RG and CH..... We have had MaB deal and the upfront was revealed and paid.... Covidity data and now initial Modify data .... there is so much and so mabny questions investors will have .... straight away I'm sure many of us would like to know is the dose/dosing of modi 1 in the trial at its optimum? could it increase could that prove more beneficial? etc etc.... Sure we all know she must be super duper busy but what would it take? a few hours of her day.... she is full time Scancell now

Scancell is still a tiny bio yes it is leaving its now developing past its early Uni roots thanks to Vulpes/Redmile finds but considering the comparatively to peers amount of funding Scancell has had just look at what it has achieved..... A pipeline of 4 platforms 3 of which have clinical validation .... And in each trial so far Scancell has produced beneficial immune responses ...... pretty much done what Lindy set out to do as it were.... surely now this cannot be ignored, it's no fluke! Even since proto SCIB days Lindy's tech benefited patients and made mainstream media .... Sure to get the most from moditope will need a shed load of money thrown at it but what a potential world beater of a platform that could become.... AIM might not wake up to all this as it loves those rubbish biotechs that re-purpose pharmas throwaway drugs :))) but surely the industry now will begin to look here ....Scancell team science are a small but serious outfit... our Poundland BioNTech... pipeline that can fill a pharma.... Let's not be another one of those Great British completely overlooked and given away success stories...
