I wonder.... Is scancell now able to manufacture iSCIB1 + itself?.... if so v exciting and cost saving

'Under the updated protocol the Company is now also testing the SCIB1 vaccine delivered via needle-free injection, using a PharmaJet® device. Prior to the amendment, SCIB1 had been delivered using electroporation to enhance the uptake and presentation of the DNA vaccine to the immune system and, although electroporation is a proven delivery method, the Company believes that needle-free injection (such as the PharmaJet® device) could provide enhanced patient acceptance and uptake. Eight sites are currently recruiting with a further six in the set-up stage. Although recruitment remains challenging, the recent protocol changes have resulted in an uplift in enrolment rates in the SCOPE study.



In addition, to further increase eligibility the Company has been developing iSCIB1+, an AvidiMab® modified version of SCIB1, which is expected to increase both the potency of SCIB1 and extend its patent life. This modification also includes multiple epitopes so it can be used to treat all patients rather than being limited to the 40% of patients who have the appropriate human leukocyte antigen (HLA) type for treatment with SCIB1. Given the significant potential improvements in potency, utility and patent life with iSCIB1+, the Company plans to transition the SCOPE trial to the iSCIB1+ product during 2023.



The current modifications to the SCOPE protocol have significantly increased the recruitment rate into the ongoing Phase 2 trial at the existing UK sites and the transition to iSCIB1+ during 2023 is also expected to further increase patient enrolment rates. As a result, the Company intends to withdraw the open Investigational New Drug (IND) application in the US for the SCIB1 product and focus its resources on continuing to expand recruitment in the UK for SCIB1 and transitioning the iSCIB1+ product into the existing SCOPE study.'

I do believe this is a new quote from Lindy:

We always have to be patient here however we are going to be seeing what Lindy will present at AACR soon... and data = deals .... with big upfronts!

Quite... facing palliative care due to the tumor growing on every scan .... or 'feeling absolutely fine' due to a so far successful immune response and tumor significantly shrinking from the size of a walnut to the size of a hazelnut... I know which I prefer

That is correct as there is no new scan that comes later after this new dose but going in the right direction is the direction we want and were not previously sure of same as in all the stable ovarian patients also it is always good to hear that a patient is clearly physically and mentally benefiting as without modi 1 that is not the case

Worse than that was where the tumor was and what it was doing ....no technically it's not an update of more response that can only come on next scan but it looks to be going in the right direction not stable but maybe worse which wasn't clear previously...also great to hear patent 1 in such good spirits....and dosing continues

Side effects tiredness for a week after vaccine.... understandable... that's it working.... nothing nasty

Hopefully going over 50% in shrinkage and heading in the right direction will be a tipping point toward further reduction... looking at the AGM mouse shrinkage graph it doesn't quite cascade right away

Oncologist - that'll be prof Ottensmeier still very happy and hopefully this will be a big step for future cancer treatments...

I agree with that Chester all these years waiting for a decent commercial deal and when one appears no real media celebration we put it down to waiting on more pivotal news coming but that arrived and nothing,if it weren't for Botski recoding AHM beyond RNS quotes nowt from Lindy....I think she doesn't care for AIM and the future is elsewhere

My hope is Moditope becomes impossible to ignore/overlook.... Stable disease due to CD4s targetting cancer is fantastic and translates very well into OS and if it is happening in a majority 50% + of all therapeutic-dosed patients then it won't be overlooked but we all know the spectacular headlines hitting the mainstream of tumors vanishing that gets the excitement.... that can still come here (it is after all how what moditope is designed to do) but without it, it's going to be a drag with it and we are away... and no doubts all of a sudden UK Gov would recognise the genius of Lindy! Only 10 years late and all that ....The SCIB1 swimmer chart of remarkable OS has never ever been rewarded here
BTW Seagen has a big presence at this years AACR with 19 posters

BioNTech indeed started small but they started with great advantages they were backed by big private money and support from the beginning...Scancell goes the hard route AIM is not great for baby biotech growth into an international bio player which is why I doubt we will remain on here once the big deal/s are hopefully done.... Scancell has grown to where they are now on a shoestring and the vision of Vulpes and Redmile ..... A pipeline that in other's hands would no doubt be bearing commercial fruits by now... Luckily BioNTech recognizes itself in Scancell (uni spinout science-based) and its story so probably will be one source of future growth funding and support..... on data being compelling

Talking Gov.UK and Cancer I know this collab with BioNTech is good and all that for cancer patients and LD approves (she liked it on her Linkedin)

But here is the thing Scancell has been here all the efffin time!! UK based ..... the SCIB1 swimmer chart that even at last AGM continues to be OS amazing... and all this company got with a tiny Innovate grant tied with Notts Uni cuz of Covid ....and produced the goods there too (a little too late though BiNTech wins)....basically I'm a little p'd off at the lack of UK support for what could be science that can hugely impact cancer treatment....Of course, the Modify trial will do its thing and hopefully enough to wake up this country's decision makers....
