RE: s/p19 Apr 2020 11:17
I welcome a couple of new posters, hopefully we'll see a different perspective and some more balanced views, rather than the 2 extremes often seen here which are repeated ad infinitum.
As for any agendas, I'm sure we will see in time why they are posting, just like they will see from the 6 or so more frequent posters here, 3 of which I am pretty certain will tag a label on them based on their first couple of posts.
I think Angus have done reasonably well sticking to timeframes when things have been in their control, but a lot of things are not, and in O&G time slippage is not uncommon (just look at ukog who in Jan 2019 were expecting to have drilled 6 wells by the end of Q2 2020, from memory). My hopes for Saltfleetby may be overoptimistic, time-wise, but that is why I have stayed invested, for the potential there, and I have hopes towards the lower end of the scale that Angus have suggested which will recoup a decent chunk of my paper losses.
I think brian's last post has hit the nail on the head, and I have tried to put this across before. The 'newbies' are doing exactly this, looking at what's in front of them (but being mindful of the past), the 'oldies' are projecting the past onto all future activities and use JT-P as their 'proof' that nothing has changed, and never will.
Hence, why this is still high risk, but with potential for decent reward from the current levels, athough I was also saying that at 1p :-)
