An Investment firm would not be taking a 5% stake just to dump the shares in the market.
This will be a hold.
They would only sell (in small amounts) to maintain their total holding within a suitable % range across the underlying portfolios due to SP movements (imo).
This news could get other II's taking a close look too

Interesting development. Could bode well for any future fund-raising requirements, if needed. I suspect this would be a long term hold from an II.

The important thing, is that there's an update. Positive news
2/3 of the posts today relate to the delivery of the news rather than the actual news itself. A quiet reaction here considering many seem to be looking for updates every other day.

Could they perhaps just be flowing HH at the most stable rate to keep ticking over for now with limited intervention, and only intend this to change when conditions improve?
I see things being quite different when some kind of normality resumes (both current situation and poo) in a few months time, which will hopefully coincide with the clearance of the majority CLN shares (late Q3?).

I'd like to think that would be the case, but see a greater likelihood of loud objections at IoW now.
Not just re: house process, but the usual environment concerns, nimbyism, traffic movements, etc will be seen as more important to many now. I just think there will be a tougher job to get planning than there may have been before al this.
Time will tell.
What would the additional costs be here too compared to HH, for example. Would it even be viable to test at this time with the added transport costs? Have we seen approx. figures here compared to mainland onshore?

I'm around 80% down here. Not concerned from a financial perspective, but have had the usual concerns about delays and communication for some time now. Can't see that changing, unfortunately.
Feel that this will recover in time, but 2019 was supposed to be UKOG's year with the 6 well programme, and looking more like 2021 before and semblance of normality returns. Prepared to wait, though, but not expecting the returns I had hoped for when accumulating shares throughout 2018/19.
A new concern for me is IoW. I fear that the lockdown will have seen a big change in personal priorities and see an even bigger issue regarding planning here now. Would prefer to see focus stick with HH in the short term.

I think it may be a while before we may see a re-rate.
We saw a spike on the Saltfleetby CPR, but the SP fell back to the previous levels within a couple of days.
We also saw a smaller rise on the re-financing RNS, which was only intra-day.
Think it may take a positive planning result for Saltfleetby for any real re-rate (given we already have the CPR), so maybe not until the end of August at the earliest.
May see a few spikes in the interim if any positive news on other sites (e.g. planning for Balcombe).

My reply was not aimed at you, more the folk who only come here infrequently to brag about how they were right and how everyone should listen to them, and who still post that 'there will be an I told you so moment'.
I view management differently to you. I do see a real change in focus, a more open dialogue with investors and a more coherent strategy, although I see only Saltfeetby as a way to recoup my losses and am pleased that Angus seem to see this as their priority too.
I m not deluding myself over Brockham one bit. I just can't see how current management can be held wholly responsible when pretty much all actions took place prior to GL taking charge (the constant reference to the SP since he took over is lazy and a convenient 'stick' to beat him with imo).
Just my view. I don't expect everyone to share it and I have no intention to filter anyone as I appreciate different viewpoints if reasonably made.
I can see that you challenge management which is a lot more useful to see than deliberately antagonistic posts which others seem to revel in.

Agree that they haven't achieved anything tangible since last August, but not altogether unexpected either if you are prepared to be pragmatic about things, so 'calling it' is hardly something to crow about, especially given the current climate.
I don't like to compare other companies, but seeing as I have positions there too, and you can argue some similarities, what have UJO or UKOG achieved in a similar time frame? Look at the grand expectations at both of those vs here and things don't seem so bad, especially if you look at SP performance over the same period. None have really achieved anything in the same timeframe, but all 3 have potential to deliver over different timeframes, and at different levels.
As always with AIM, it is a risky play. Some are prepared to take a chance, others aren't. Some just seem to want their "I told you so" moment.

Come now, James. The 14p-16p highs of late 2018 are long gone here.
Company targets for Saltfleetby seem to be anywhere between 2p-6p. I will happily cut my losses here with anything back up near the 2p-3p range

The Saltfleetby CPR caused a big intra-day jump, sadly not sustained. Planning approval here would likely see similar with this news already out and maybe any rise then would hold. For me, looking like this will be the big step needed for any serious increase. So, maybe end of August for this?

Most boards are polarised though, and few seem able to see both good and bad. There are some good posters here though and most are savvy enough to see through the bickering.
SS bonus clearly woke a few out of their trance to see the company more rationally which is good.
Communication has always been my issue along with long delays with little explanation.
Assets are good (imo) but a post-Covid world will be a challenge for many companies. Like most investments it s a case of weighing up risk vs reward.

Not really anything more or less than expected given the current climate, but a welcome update and good to see the company still communicating regularly.
Was optimistically hoping Saltfleetby could be up and running early than some were anticipating, but Q4 looks more likely. Many companies will take time to find their feet in a post-Covid world, yet some seem to think delays are specific to Angus.
No big surprises for me, not least the relish at some hanging around in anticipation of the news and some new ammunition to trash the company.
Sure we will have the full house today with the usual references to cheerleaders, JT-P, kicking the can, I told you so, etc

Answers to latest Q's up on the Angus website

I believe the small trades will likely be the individual fills for a large order being worked on throughout the day. All small fills will be reported, but bundled up and cancelled/rebooked at end of day as one order for the days' total 'fill' for fees/commission. Likely an algo order being filled automatically?

Personally, I think it will just be an operational type update to cover all areas in light of the situation of the past few months to provide updated timescales, activity to date and expectations over the coming months (So, principally Balcombe and Saltfleetby, but also briefly covering anything pertinent on Brockham, Lidsey, etc).
Perhaps some more on the recent funding and finances in general anything from the recent results/AGM, anything additional on planning and a further acknowledgement of their aim to have an investor meeting at a time when it is safe to go ahead on that front.
Do not see this as Angus looking to release news to improve the SP, or to get negative news out of the way, but no doubt it will be more forward thinking and positive in outlook in respect of the remainder of this year. Not expecting any great surprises, good or bad, at this point in time.
