A very good point. Not one that the market tends to thrive on as they seem obsessed with post-covid even though the nature and timingvof post-covid is as wooly as it gets.
What is most business about? Making money. Making hay when the sun shines has full utter logic with potentially vast sums. Why does the market have to be fixated on 18 months hence?? So many new opportunities and unknowns.
I feel some contractual news as and when would break this stagnant cycle though

I am in school tomorrow. If your son had only just gone back to college then that depends how long the students had been there and in what conditions. It does not mean theyvare not carrying it at all. There are probably plenty in my school (13-18) but asymptomatic. Masks indoors. Not outdoors. One way system. No social distancing ( in reality).
Schools are breeding grounds still. We will likely see cases spike in 2-3 weeks. Many many kids are asymptomatic. Some get quite ill too. But they pass it to each other and to parents and not every child/student is tested anyway. So cases have to go up. It is reduction in deaths and severity of symptoms( a controversial case atm) that that are important.
The low death rate allows society to become liberated from just another coronavirus ( like colds/flu). The dangers are co-morbidity ( catching 2 bugs at once which is common in winter) and particularly as we know the variant problem. The latter is very much a concern. International travel:- high risk scenario. Variants can prove a big threat to vaccines which may need continual tweaking as with influenza.

I’m a bit naive to the dark troll-side of BB’s -maybe. I prefer to think the best of people which of course is not always the case. Considering I was beaten up so many times as a kid and have taught 12 martial arts for 48 years you might think I would’ve wised up.
I was attacked here this morning for just having an innocent whinge about the price and Mm’s.
Somebody suggested I was transgender and was actually doubling as Scarediecat( who has sold out at breakeven I think) . Offensive to my honesty. And another looked back at my SNG history and suggested I was a manipulator. Genuinely offensive.
I have had much abuse in life so can’t be naive!!! I was just trying to help him.

Neil . Me too. Big 5 figure loss. Average £8.90. Hang in mate. Try and find patience where there may be none. This share is being played down (suppressed). hurts me too. Can't feel good about it......just hold . sell if you can live with it....but it's a giveaway of a great company played by numpties at our expense.

Yes Naewise...you have probably sussed out the genuinely up-front contributors here. But it is also a nest of vipers at times...as I discovered as the object of some seriously derisory and nasty posts. be a little wary of a few who post quite often who are not as squeaky clean as they might want you to think. They don't like honesty or candidness and are threatened by it for some reason and feel the coward's impulse to attack what threatens them.
You seem to have your investor-head screwed on tight so I'm sure you will suss out who is for real. But there is a real clique on this board even if some good civil posters. some are absolutely polar opposite when threatened or irritated.

To suggest that MM's are not controlling the share price and have not been for 7 weeks is -respectfully speaking(as so many take offence at candidness so readily here)-delusional.
But naewise....these shenanegans are rarely ..dare I say never....permanently ongoing. This has lasted longer that my experience of such things has shown before .But it always comes to a conclusion as they move on. Eventually.NCYT are well overdue on news.
So many people are very very hung up on micro analysing covid matters to the n'th degree. Fair enough. But it's the market that controls the price and the market most reacts to serious external variables or news.

I want to go abroad as much ss anyone else and had to cancel three trips last year . Hadn’t been away with wife for 4 years ( kennel-phobic dog) and cramming in..but never happened. So I want to travel too.
But it is a prime error. My friend in NZ said it is what kept them safe. And my family in Tasmania have seen zero cases. Vaccine technology has to continue in order to control the ever-mutating Sars viruses ( e.g. Covid 19) . Vaccination and testing go hand in hand. They have to. In the last 2 weeks the threat of covid has perceptibly increased hugely . Oil stocks down. Covid stocks up. Nov is far more than just a “ covid stock” though. It is far too secretive and shareholder-negligent ( IMO !) but its fingers are in so many testing pies(carriers or the vaccined). Need to give it six months to clarify its future plans and implement present instrumentation so the market can value appropriately.
Germany blocked Poland yesterday. Testing mandatory. This may become the global norm ...this year..next year...longer??

Yeah it was an error. As it turnedcout. I don’t ever use stop losses but very very occasionally shove a sell limit in in case I miss the price on a volatile shsre. It has worket at times. I never expected my sell limit at 96p to be reached tbh!! I had an average of 46p. I’ve never multibagged and thought it waszbaloney. I doubled. Could’ve quintupled...but hey ho.
I learned my lesson!
Constantly learning on the stock market after 30 years in it! All this stuff didn’t exist. Had to use teletext and newspapers :-) I bought BT in 1985 . My first share. Shoulda held:-)

Yes I never considered a total loss here ( although I have been there before)...just a languid growing loss as the worst scenario.
I too see this as a hugely growing investment in time and agree with WBAFC that it has all been a mm game to date. I have much much experience of this.

Some lovely uplifting posts here. I appreciate them. I too have put amn enormous sum in here and am on a 5 figure loss. If it goes **** up then it’s no-one’s fault but mine. But testing is logic in action. It is the only way. Trsting thos with the bug or testing for the vaccinated. What is Nov’s greatest strength?? Adaptation to what is happening in the real world.
I am also far too overleveraged ( not meaning debt...just pressure). I was in SNG when it went up from 36p to £2.50 in a day. My sell limits took me out at 95p. But I doubled at least. No reason why Nov should not do the same. But certainly more gradually I feel!!!

AZ is about 94% preventitive . A good rate.
But it is all about not contracting the disease.Not about getting a milder version. Unproven.
There is little written and credible published scientific evidence that it gives you a milder case.
The argument is that the doses prevent most variants at all. The DHSC informed me that transmission could only be reduced by lowering cases . Not by milder cases( although that may happen) . The aim is to prevvent deaths by lowering contraction of the disease in the vulnerable and numbers in the public to allow free society. If it meant a milder disease then that would help the bulnerable too but I have read nothing of this.
I concede that the waters are quite muddied though.

Vaccine is supposed to stop you getting it!
You can’t pass it on unless you get it.
You might not know you have it if asymptomatic but that’s not what any of the vaccines are about. It is not possible (yet) to prevent purely transmission. Vaccines are to prevent deaths by lowering cases and protecting the vulnerable. Some have argued that they may give some people milder symptoms but that negates the purpose of preventing transmission-the No.1 purpose. And protecting the vulnerable from getting the virus at all.
There is much misinformation,
There is a new swab test btw which has been introduced at airports ( RATS) for testing if you have been vaccinated or not. High failure rate. Useless . Some very dubious decisions being made by politicians as usual!

Are these PCR or LFT tests?
Each case would need following up.
It is the law.
Each person would need to self-isolate for 2 weeks.
Test for contagion is a separate test.
Too many questions raised here.
Vaccination period also just mentioned.
A few things don’t add up.

Does that mean failure in accurate test or failure in vaccination?
Surely each positive test is followed up?
