Highest price for last 12 months is over £12.
I’m not a takeover expert but I have been told that the shares( most of them) cannot be below highest price .
If that is wrong I am happy.
But I have been in this scenario before with takeover talk. Didn’t happen. Not once.
I am happy to be shot down with facts if wrong but each time I was told this.
I have been on many bb’s which live on hopes. Correctly so.
I would only rely on Company legislative facts though . Disappointed too many times.
Hope is good. Let’s back it up .
This company needs proper factual forwardlooking contractual info rns’d out. Or news re. DHSC. Until then we are Pinnochio.

70% of the shares would have to be at a ludicrously high price . Sorry. Not gonnahappen. Happy if it did.
Factual forward prospects are needed.
And sadly Ncyt are just staying stumm as usual.
Today was profit making and I think I know where it will go tomorrow.
In spite of a certain sourness on my part (apologies) I am still very much a hold as it is grossly oversold.
IMO much patience and time needed and any bars of expectation dropped.Only leads to disappointment.
Mm’s will play again tomorrow ( IMO) and we must just wait.

GM could if he chose. It is destructive to have such a company weakness. Not to recognise market sentiment or shareholder well-being.
I am not undermining the supportive positive posts about the company per se. But it is important to speak the trith even if it hurts. No problem with communication a year ago !!!!
I still welcome the positive . But won’t turn a blind eye to neglect.

I echo your sentiments. Feeling in the pits and would also like to thank the decent posters for buoying spirits. Knowing the govt.as I do I did not expect renewal as too many fickle things were playing in their favour. But it was a double whammy from £11. Unexpectedly harsh and deeply oversold. Covid is not dead and is set fo be a permanent. evolving part of human society which evolves in turn to manage it via technology which has to pivot on accurate viral testing. Market only sees short term loss of a contract and revenue ( but not necessarily revenue).
Needs sorting quick. Nov should really support the market somehow but .......(?)

I’m looking at a very long hold here now. Do a Warren Buffet/Rapunzel and go to sleep for a year. I’m bombshelled out here on my loss just below 85 grand. but I don’t have GM’s pocket money to support the loss.

I disagree that we all have different circumstances. Many investors close to identical if not exactly of course. Many of us the same.
But I doubt anyone else on a £78k loss but I would be “ comforted” to be in company. I err on the side of foolishness. But have been here before. I have been a pauper and lost it all. And gained. Not proud. Just taught me a bit/lot. I expect mm’s to want your shares cheap. Up to you.
I don’t believe Ncyt got here just on covid without sense..
They run a sharp business. They are building private as the govt was never to be trusted. I have dealt with DHSC in politics. Jokers in efficiency.

I agree with switch off this week and 3-4 weeks. Bound to play games to lure holders into despair. But nothing intrinsically changes. And I have lost more by selling out in the past than by holding.

The market may play with this but the real market will buy the products. CFO in S.America speaks volumes.
Nov knew the contract was likely dead a long time agonand will have been compensating.
Sell now and live with the consequences.
Hold faith and patience in turmoil with FACTS in hand. Multiple possibilities and markets/contracts but extraordinary resilience and patience needed by the shareholder.

Even though I felt the contract was not on the cards I did not expect the gates of Hell to open up for the share price. I thought the market had not taken it as a given by any score. Gonna be honest and say it’s caused a lot of friction and agitation personally and at home. Wake me up when September ends would be a great Rapunzel wish but then another winter ahead and this one was so tough.
I would like the next 6 weeks over with even though May is my favourite month.
Credit to K and others on a loss speaking honestly. Forgive my pickiness. And maybe my pedantic posts Just so damn grumpy due to the loss. My bad but took me years to make that money -having already once lost it all. Plus ça change. Not been the most prudent investor. To me -and probably many-it is a fortune. I have no idea if any other holders are sitting on such a stupid red number although it’s all relative.
I would like the next uncertain time to pass quickly as it is this uncertainty and my long experience of a market that takes no prisoners is very agitating. I believe in embracing risk in life but sometimes one can regret it :-/

Apologies for the subjective and indulgent post. I warm to those who are also on a loss and handle it gracefully and with the scope of the bigger picture. Like the last few posters. And genuinely real business growth-hope. Nov is cultivating new markets to replace public ones .One should never ever trust a government in any arena. I know this with a degree in Politics 40 years ago and a life connecting with the famous and fickle.
I appreciate all supportive realistic posts on this rocky ride. Apologies for indulgence but I’m not a Kaptchka tick-box robot. Bit of self-flagellation going on.

Can’t say no-one expected this news though. Firstly that’s impossible to know. anyway. Impossible to know that nobody expected it.
Secondly I know some who did expect it including myself. But I did not expect the reaction. I was sure they had problems or had lost the contact but ..phew..not the consequent drop leaving me in the doodah ( and others too of course).
I’m reeling from the news I expected. I thought it was factored in already !!!
But it’s wrong to say nobody expected it because you can’t know and some did anyway.

Ultimately we need GM to pull his finger out and provide detailed information.
Forget legalities. They can last years. Literally. Even in this case.
The company may not care for shareholders . But if they just let this go laissez faire style then that is shameful.
GM may be rich because of covid. All the more reason to take responsibility now for those less fortunate. His shareholders. By G** I wish I knew his company read this or that they would respond to emails.
Don’t let this slide Mr. Mullis. Intervene with communication .
With influence comes responsibility.
If it goes lower it will provide one helluva more compelling buying opportunity but it’s not necessary!!

Problem is they do not engage at all with shareholders.
I doubt they read this although I know many companies do and should.
No bleating on my part will get him leasing the army. I can’t say he doesn’t give a damn. Can’t know. I just fear he will let it all play out with no intervention.
Unacceptable in this scenario.
But “ quoi faire?” . WTF can we do to precipitate it or him. Nil nada rien nichts niente ...nothing.
I have emailed fruitlessly over months to no avail.
I still strongly encourage holding here but with no bar of expectation.

It is the closest GM has gone to “forward visibility” by implying plans already in the offing. This is ahard time for some. It is worth reading. I would even suggest that DHSC issues were perhaps already starting to be apparent to management even then . Any decent well-funded company with a planning vision just adapts anyway. That’s all this is. Successful adaptation to relationship with govt. as it has with covid. Most companies unable or unwilling to adapt make no profit and end up in debt. We don’t see this here.
Right now..short term it’s about just hanging in there . Weathering the storm. And not looking back in anger at selling out at ridiculous prices. Loss of contract was IMO almost fully factored in at £7.
Now Mr. Mullis we need contract and sales clarification.
