Seems a bit harsh I think sjpw I did not see anything deramping in his post (He could be for all I know but his post didnt say Avacta is dogs**t ). The relevance is the article is about a pregnancy test, breaking it down and the pros and cons of a digital test compared to a paper test ...... As we have heard multiple times on here, from the mouth of the PM, the health secretary the type of test avacta are making is been referred to as a "pregnancy style test". I hate to be a miserable git but I cant stop thinking about that goverment video that someone pointed out at the time seemd to have the Mologic Logo on the pregnancy style test shot. I am not so convinced that it is the airport pushing tests on govement as suggested or that the gov is unaware or has nothing to do with it. I feel the govement are very aware of the test from mologic. Again I dont think this is terrible for Avacta there is enough room for more than one test and we dont know how good this test is.

Wishful thinking maybe but I am hoping Avacta drop a bombshell RNS on Tuesday to settle nerves ;-)

A bit gutted not going to lie but there is enough room for more than one saliva test. Avacta really need to be getting the test out though ASAP now.

While it would be nice if it was Avactas I agree with 13thmonkey, I think it is more likely stock image/antibody. I will get excited when it is "confirmed" to be avactas test (cant be far off) and until then I will remain calm ;-)

My son got something similar to the picture through the post today (Although the manual looks slightly different). It says "Coronavirus (COVID-19) Home Test) on the top similar to the one in the picture. Unfortunately it is NOT a spit test. The pack contains a swab, a test tube type thing, Box and Biohazard stickers. There is a website on the paperwork for www.reactstudy.org/antigentest to arrange a courier to collect. He was apparently selected at random hence why he got the kit. Done via Imperial college London. May be completely different but thought it worth posting

@JRDC re your last paragraph. This is why I am not overly worried about what Medusa do as I just dont see the majority of the income coming from direct to Joe Blogg sales. They do have the tie in to distribution via their Boohoo connections I guess which could be useful in terms of logistics. Getting individual consumers to pay £15 for a test from a website that looks like it was made by someone on crystal meth (although it is an improvement on the last version)... I just cant see millions of people flocking there and parting with their money.

There will be income if the test can be sold direct to consumer no doubt (Great to use before visiting family etc) but the bigger pie is surely Goverment and medium/large business contracts (ie testing workforces, Airports, events etc) - I am sure the M&S supplier recently in the news wish they had the avacta test about now!

BBI Solutions also have their own app Novarum, could this be used on the business side if Medusa go with SaturnPass for the consumer side?

On a high note I am happy with my investment. I think the test will come good and I think Avacta will sell as many as they can produce but in my opinion I dont think the majority of those sales will be via Medusa. The test will sell and we will all make money (no idea how much) and while I will sell some if Avacta hits a price I intend on holding the rest longer term to see how the cancer stuff plays out.

But its not a rival test if its an antibody test Jimmy......

Just to speculate even more to the second test been the 3m test. 2 of the employes previously worked for 3m it seems from the our people page. Gonna be a fun weekend of speculation haha

Sorry if it has already been asked I did search through the posts but does anyone have a rough idea of how many BBI would be able to produce per month?

We are 0.32% up and we have £2 predictions, £10 predictions. I am optimistic about avacta and I am all for enthusiasm but this board goes mental with predictions and to the second price posting at the sign of even a slither of blue sometimes. We will get there we dont need to ramp the hell out of it. Chill out go enjoy the sunshine today ;-)

That's great and it should be easy to do, all I am expressing is that MY experiences and the experiences of others I have talked to over the years are very different to yours.

Sorry I disagree it is still a legal grey area as there are variations of domain squatting and it still happens and is not as easy or quick as you suggest to recover if you do not have a massive corporate legal department. Yes you have UDRP but even then its determining if it is a bad faith registration and all this takes time.

Anyway not the place to debate it but to claim it does not happen is false.

Chances are that saturnpass is registered by the same company that registered saturnpassport but the domain been registered in 2 different countries on the same day is odd.

There are people out there that make a lot of money from checking domains that are registered and registering domains very similar or a variation on them quickly afterwards. The purpose is to then sell that domain back to the company for a profit. You can pick up some domains now as cheaply as £2.99 for a year and easily sell for a large profit if the company decides they want it 6 12 months in the future. You only have to look at some domains and their page is a "This domain is for sale page". I say this from experience of been in that position of someone trying to sell me a similar domain.

Why they would then pretend to be that company is a little beyond me though as it does not make a lot of sense as their is nothing to gain via the site unless the con is when you email the info address and get fed BS and get parted with your pennies. Just guessing really.
