Im not sure FOMO exists as it once did with Avacta AP. I would not be moaning if you were correct and if you go on a RAMPage with your posts (you see what I did there aint I a clever boy) FOMO could kick in ;-) In my opinion I see us closing the week out around the £1.40 level (which is ok with me)

I have been critical of some of the RNS's that AS has put out but I quiet like this one. More exposure for affimers and another company wanting to use them and more importantly more upfront payments and milestone payments. These all add up in the long run. Pennies make pounds as they say.

Part of what I like about it strangely is the fact that there is nothing in it about covid related side of the business it keeps it clear and focused. I think that the fact that there is no covid related waffle in there we should be seeing a RNS covering this part of the business in the next week or so. IMHO

I feel like a broken record but always feel the need to reply to those who feel people dont have a right to be frustrated with some of the waffle AS has produced so far. The frustration is because of what has come from AS the CEO of Avacta not shareholder expectations or percieved delays (at least in my case I dont speak for others). His communication has been ****e and even some of the 'super rampers' have admitted as much. How many times has he said very soon, imminently, soon, few weeks, summer, approaching an inflection point, etc etc over the past 9 months. If you repeatedly give timelines then miss them shareholders are going to be and have a right to be frustrated.

Having said that if he makes me s wheelbarrow load of money I will forgive him ;-)

Its has been said here multiple times the world is bigger than the UK and the UK government. Still maintain that Avacta will sell whatever they can make (although the delays drive me nuts sometimes) be it this country or abroad.

AS is going to make me look like a right bell end after I say this but I still dont think there will be a RNS until next week. I think as some have already said sentiment is back with Avacta at the minute and may be what is pushing the price back up and (said a million times here) SOME news, ANY news has to be very close now so people are looking to get in.

If we maintain this momentum and build 5% a day for the next 5 or 6 days and AS drops a RNS mid next week I would be very happy. Obviously will still be happy if AS drops an RNS (with substance) this week sometime but I feel it in my knackered old bones it may be next week. ;-)

I think Boris is a melt (multiple mistakes handling this virus, testing, lockdowns etc) but whatever he does in this case he cant win and I am glad I dont have his job. Close schools and risk damaging a generation (Home\online learning is not the same given the best will in the world of teachers and parents, it will also always be the underprivileged kids and families that get hit the hardest). Dont shut schools and risk potentially spreading the virus more and more people dieing from it.

My opinion is maybe he is hoping the unions take it out of his hands so he has somewhere to pin some of the blame but who knows.

Mines knackered too says avacta is £1.1850 and I am 8% down. Ah wait a minute.........

Nope. One of them is my homemade test. I use a fish fork dipped in vinegar reagent up the a$$ to detect the presence of the spike protein. Government just put in an order for £2.5 Billion worth of them so I am going to busy buying fish forks wholesale this xmas.

The authorisation of the use of lateral flow devices, which give results in under 30 minutes, by people without medical expertise follows the first such approval of an over-the-counter rapid test by the US regulator last week. The MHRA is keen to emphasise, however, that the devices are allowed to be used only to “find” cases of Covid-19 infections, so that people who were not aware they had the virus are able to isolate. They are not to be used to “enable” people to make life decisions, it said.

Lateral flow tests have been the subject of fierce debate, with some claiming they are highly inaccurate and dangerous if used as the basis for decisions on whether it is safe to visit elderly relatives or end periods of isolation.

Its pretty much another filler RNS whichever way you want to dress it up. The usual "soon, exceptional progress, look forward to"

Don't get me wrong not a bad RNS as in its not reporting everything has failed but people need to put the party poppers away there is nothing significant in there (although that wont stop some ramping the s**t out of it and reading into it what is not there)

A good and interesting post weedylan and I agree with your outlook for Avacta but I do have one genuine question

Can you not also see why some shareholders are frustrated with timelines and fluff that has come from Avacta over the last 9 months? Its all too easy to claim its impatient short term investors "looking to make a quick buck". It wasn't investors saying "soon, a few weeks, imminently, news rich, shortly, very soon, value inflection point approaching, Summer" over and over again this all came from AS the CEO of Avacta. Surely an investors role is to question the company they are invested in? Short term, long term, trader, here for the tests, here for the cancer pipeline is irrelevant imho the comms have been poor and need to improve going forward and that is my main gripe and frustration.

The following samples may be drawn, depending on the nature of the particular IVD evaluation:
• Saliva (approximately 5ml) will be collected on days 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
• Combined nasal/throat swabs will be collected on days 1 and 5
• Breath samples on day 1
