I was looking back at historical RNS this afternoon.

With regard to the phase 2 trial - it was announced on 18th March that it would begin imminently, and first dosing took place on 31st March.

The announcement of the 'imminent' begining of the phase 3 trial was announced on 18th December. We may still have another week or possibly even two to wait before first dosing then.

This time last year I had never heard of Synairgen. To be honest I wasn't paying much attention to reports of the coronavirus outbreak in China but I think it was still quite small news.

This year has been a rollercoaster ride. Glad with the current position. Like everyone I would like our current SP to be a bit higher but hoping the first P3 dosing will give us another good rise. I don't have as much invested here as others but it's a significant amount to me. Have my core shares which I will e holding and a small number for day trading where possible.

Next Christmas - I would like to still have some investment in Synairgen but the majority of shares sold for a tidy profit. Hopefully by then SNG is widely available along with multiple vaccines and access to testing. If it all goes wrong in phase 3 though it will be lumps of coal all round!!

Like Tyla I used it as an opportunity for a wee top up. In at 148.7 but hopefully sell them on somewhere in the mid 150's depending on news.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us make some gains before the market closes on Thursday even without news. Thursday to Tuesday is a long time for people to be out of this given that first dosing is imminent. I would be surprised if it wasn't done by a week today which doesn't leave a lot of trading time left to get involved.

When we have been getting news it has had a big impact on the SP and always reflects the positive progress made by the company. Yes, sometimes things are a bit quiet but overall I don't think we can complain.

I think it would be worse if we were getting updates for the sake of it with no real substance to them.

It can't just constantly rise.

There are probably a group of people who bought in yesterday and were holding to see if a further rise again today but now bored and selling off.

That's very optimistic, we usually track a bit lower than SYGGF.

I hope you're right but if we open over 150 and rise up to 155 that would be a good start.

That's a significant rise. A lot of Yanks must be starting to buy in.

The PM announcement won't have an impact but if you're not topping up now then what are you waiting for?

Do you think this is going lower tomorrow or later in the week? If not, then top up as another RNS should be imminent.

Totally agree Leaf - wouldn't be surprised if the first dosing RNS was released in the evening. Not necessarily this evening but you know what I mean.

I think it will have a big impact on the SP because you then have more of a race against time to buy shares. For example,today there is no urgency because nothing has really changed for SNG - I could wait and buy shares another day. Post RNS though investors have around 8 weeks (for arguments sake) and each day they don't invest is a day closer to results and price potentially getting to a new high. Plus those who do buy will also be more likely to hold which will see the SP rise.

You certainly have impeccable timing Tyla. Even today managing to sell exactly on the spike at about 155p.

Some big numbers being posted already - gains and losses.

Looks like the market is beginning to correct itself. As many in here predicted weeks ago the response to vaccine news was disproportionate.

If £10-£12 is where this peaks Fishyboy then there will be some disappointed people on this board but it would still be a fantastic return for a lot of people.

Keep positive - and on that note, time for me to get off to bed.

I don't believe it's nailed on. If I believed that, and that it was going to land me £42 per share, I would be selling everything I own and investing it all in SNG.

There is still an element of risk here and the reward isn't known - certainly not by me.

Share prices fluctuate,of course they do and I think it's quite obvious why this has moved so much. But you haven't answered my question.

You think some of the valuations are ridiculous - so what do you think this is heading for and, in your opinion, why could it not hit £42?

@Fishyboy - what do you consider to be an accurate prediction of a future share price?

You seem very quick to dismiss posts by others including posts where posters have shown the rationale behind their sums.

Some of the sums mentioned are the things that dreams are made of and yes, I agree there are some fantasists on here. But go and look at some companies and what can happen - maybe start with Greenwich Life Sciences.

We are in a pandemic which has locked the world down and shows no signs of letting up. What price can you put on a treatment which can save lives and take pressure of health care systems being overrun?

If you're going to continually discount posts then at least back it up with some substance.

Excuse my ignorance here, my understanding is that one of the things which makes SNG001 unique is that it could be effective against mutations.

I suspect there are links but are we confident of the science to support this? And, would we need to perhaps include some patients with varied strains in our trials?

Doc - very valid point. A data set which shows a 50% reduction in hospital admissions would be huge. The stress that could take off the NHS would be massive. Whilst not the primary focus for SNG, this could be a massive bonus for the company.

ForMyGirls - I hope you're right. We are heading into a 3rd national lockdown so it's entirely possible that EUA could be granted on lower numbers. That is just the natural pessimist/realist in me coming out!

This is just my own personal opinion and is not qualified in anyway.

The response to the Lancet publication of P2 results was that the sample size was too small. I'm not convinced only adding 100 more to this would be enough for EUA.

Positive results in the first 100 patients may see the trial amended or something along those lines for the remainder of the trial I would suspect rather than straight into EUA.

As soon as the first patient is dosed the countdown is on to the endgame.

Could be looking at 6-8 weeks or possibly even sooner for patients to have been dosed. An incredibly short period of time to wait.
