@Rocquet: The risk the Avacta test wont pass PHE testing (because of the process) is articulated by the company itself in the Annual report, happy for you to direct me to something i've missed ?

Government’s Porton Down facility. The first stage of the
evaluation process does not use the lateral flow test in
the manner that it was designed for and there is therefore
uncertainty as to whether the test can pass the Porton Down
evaluation process which could delay the ability to tender
for government contracts. The Group is progressing the
clinical validation and CE marking of the product so that sales
channels (other than the UK Government) can be exploited
regardless of any delays in obtaining UK Government
approval or tenders.

So where is the Mologic approval?, CE marked on Christmas eve 2020, and still not in the list ?

@GSully12 : I am expecting an update at the end of the month, simply saying the commissioning of the contracted capacity for the DHSC contract has been completed as per the timelines set out in the contract, and we now wait for test selection and test orders. If we don't get that then i'm not sure to make of what has been going on

@rocquet: We know that phase1 includes the staff provisioning and training costs, in order to commission and staff a full DHSC contracted capacity, So we can charge back all that cost plus 18%, Page 81 "People" details of what is covered in the pre-payment stage allowance:

If we look at the capacity provisioning under the DHSC contract in terms of the Nightingale hospital provision, it is actually quite possible that there are a considerable amount of staff sat around doing very little, in reality that means very little for ODX as if they are attributed to the DHSC contract we get paid for them anyway, but don't assume they are doing much, just because they are on the books

Well do we really though? What exactly is that? No April trading update, no sales announcement, no Commissioning updates, every time the company looks to be making progress they pivot into the next dead end,

@BlackXbag: The big issue for me is not regarding the DHSC contract, its the fact that Omega don't know (are not involved) in getting the Mologic/Visitect test through the process, a process that surely if not completed puts them on the back foot with regards to sales when competing against others that have that stamp of approval on their box.

We send 5 months TT the test and don't have the first clue in securing sales in a competitive market.

I thought we had many more strings to our bow, that the DHSC haven't got a say in ?

Many too readily confuse the DHSC contract with the rest of the Omega operations when trying to explain the short comings and looking for reasons to explain the issues that clearly exist.

We already know that any staff costs that can be attributed to the DHSC contract are able to be directly charged as phase 1 costs under the contract (with an 18% margin on top).

If the information was available by a FOI request, whats stopping them discussing it, especially as it surely would be a major discussion point in any negotiations with its "international distribution partners"

I have asked them directly through the correct investor communications channel (Walbrook), to confirm that they had delivered a single test made in Alva to a paying customer in April, and they have refused to do so. So what is actually going on? a simple yes/no answer was required, but they refused to even give that ?
