The "This april we will deliver 2M tests a week" tweets whilst his directors were offloading is a clear demonstration of where our illustrious management team stand. They knew they didn't have the capacity of ability to deliver those numbers at that time but that didn't stop them ramping the ****e out of it to feather their own nests did it?

So if we take assume the 70% margin we have been told CD4 sales have made us £278K, no wonder Colin didnt think it worth mentioning via RNS.

But good to know we can expect to be updated by CHAI on Omega's sales figures, rather than ODX themselves

If you were really invested beyond the pocket money your mum gives you for doing the dishes you would be asking the questions as to what on earth is going on.

We have lurched from "Delivering 2M tests a week in April" to now talking to other testing companies about using our capacity, Colin King spouts lies and half truths over and over again, we will all be keen to see what is in the July trading update if they can be bothered to release one

I invite your obvious planet like intellect to instead let us know why if the DHSC was intending to call upon ODX to fulfil its contract in the near future they would be facilitating ODX manufacturing for someone else ?

@Wessley: I have held ODX since May 2020, is your point that if you are invested you cant query the multiple short comings of the company, any long term investor that has listened to Colin over the last year would not be posting that they are happy for the share price to be at this level and for the company to put out such a poor RNS again, when we were expecting.

If the contract manufacturing was for Innova (Outside of ODX DHSC contract terms) and the end innova client was the DHSC, then seeing as the Innova DHSC contract is a supply contract for an amount of tests for a specified costs, then the DHSC arent applying additional costs (as its fixed pice per test from innova), instead they are reducing the per-test price by levying any agreement between ODX and Innova for manufacturing using the DHSC equipment

If the manufacturing is outside of the DHSC contract and for Innova, do you not think that the DHSC would try and recover a charge for the use of its own equipment in order to supply tests to itself through another supplier ?

Actually its the "NHS Test and Trace" test that gas received MHRA home use approval, if that approval is not extended to NHS Test and Trace can no longer issue any test for use at home, whether its Innova, Mologic, Surescreen or Avacta as none have received home use approval off their own backs.

The obvious question is why are they doing this if they intended to call on the ODX capacity under the existing DHSC contract,

Have said before the ODX DHSC contract is a lemon, Colin knew it from the start hence his dampening on any announcement regarding the contract.

If we can be thrown a bone by Innova that will be better than sat around waiting for any DHSC purchase orders to arrive

The RNS is a classic Colin, but did you expect anything more.

i) We still wait for the DHSC, longer than we expected.
ii) We are talking to other test suppliers but not actually any progress, I'd expect the sales team to be doing that off their own back rather than having the DHSC to do the introductions.
iii) Nothing has changed with the "cassetting and pouching" operations.
iv) We have received a payment but have to pay that back so don't get too excited.

What actually was in this RNS that we didn't know before, other than the DHSC are looking to pimp out their capacity rather than actually make any progress with phase 2 of the contract.

Innova have reportedly supplied 1B tests to the UK since the start of the pandemic, if they throw a small proportion of that ODX 's way the 2M capacity a week will be fully utilised, they only issue would be how much margin do we get if we have to pay the DHSC a levy for the use of their equipment.

UK Government to DHSC: Here is £3.2B to supply us some tests.

UK Government to ODX: Here is some equipment to make tests, we will tell you when we want them

UK Government to themselves : S**t we have ordered all these tests from Innova and don't seem to be getting through them at a rate we expected.

UK Government to Innova: Speak to ODX they have some capacity to make the tests you are supplying to us, we wont have to pay for shipping then.

UK Government to themselves: If innova are using and ODX are using our equipment we can charge them a levy, so we can recover some of the £3.2B from innova to the coffers.

The data presented here is in line with previously published analysis by NHS Test and Trace on lateral flow device specificity, which shows LFD tests have a specificity of at least 99.9%. And whist this wouldn't cover false negatives (because its confirmatory PCR Testing only)

My thoughts on the most likely outcome over the coming weeks.

i) Government will push the MHRA to extend the Home use approval of the NHS Test and Trace testing beyond the 22nd June, How realistically can the MHRA turn down that request when such focus is on the LFT activity to ensure we can unlock.

ii) DHSC will facilitate an agreement between ODX and Innova to manufacture their test, and put them in the "Cassettes and pouches" we are already handling for the DHSC

In that way there is no change to all the DHSC support documentation that is associated with the NHS Test, existing users carry on in the way they have become accustomed to, and there is no need for a massive publicity campaign communicating a needed change in use.

Also if the ODX manufacturing is part of the already contracted innova DHSC supply then the DHSC will get a massive benefit, they can recover from ODX a per test charge (as per the contract), and don't have to pay transportation costs from china for the innova tests.
