Its very unlikely the government are going to throw away millions of innova tests, based on the fact that the "experts" have given them the ok, so if ODX is manufacturing for Innova at least thats an income stream.

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many covid-19 tests shipped in the last 12 months have produced a recorded result.

Between 28 May 2020 to 28 April 2021 the total number of polymerase chain reaction tests which produced a recorded result was 8,726,870 test results.
The total number of lateral flow device tests which recorded a result between 22 October 2020 and 28 April 2021 in England was 63,852,593.

To ask Her Majesty's Government how many COVID-19 test kits manufactured in China have been purchased for use in the UK; what those kits have cost; and what capacity there is in the UK for the production of such kits.

As of 14 May 2021, more than 1 billion self-test and assisted lateral flow devices (LFDs) manufactured in China have been purchased for use in the United Kingdom. We are unable to provide the cost of these kits as this information is commercially sensitive. A gradual increase in the proportion of UK-produced self-test LFDs is anticipated by the summer.

@Maninpink: Lets think about that statement and what it actually means, keeping in mind Omega have told us many times that as soon as we have any orders they will update us.

The cheapest of any of our tests to produce is the ABC-19 test costing us 75p to produce.

Lets assume we aren't using the DHSC capacity so infact we have a capacity of 1M a week to play with. (so we wont take any use of the pre-production payments) and assume the staff are able to be apportioned per unit capacity.

So if we are "producing tests" at anywhere near capacity (remember the 250 staff are for full capacity) that means we are committing £750K per week on producing tests we don't have orders for, At the beginning of February our cash position was £6M, so we can afford to make our cheapest test using 50% of our staff for only 8 weeks since February.

So are you saying we have committed all our cash reserves into keeping these staff busy making tests ?

@Maninpink: Well thats the £374m question, what are the 250 staff doing whilst we wait for test selection, or any sales to materialize, I suppose all will be made clear when we get a trading update in July

Is there though? can you share any links that confirm that they are doing anything other than waiting, when i asked if they had delivered a single test to a paying customer in April they refused to answer

@BearBullDozer: I thought that was what we were paying Colin his £200K a year salary for, but as i said before everyone knew that home use approval was a key differentiator for any test, in deed Colin signed a DHSC contract in which it was highlighted in black and white for him on 50% of his companies capacity, so why did it take until now for the penny to drop that maybe they should look at what needs to be undertaken for that to be achieved with the Mologic/Visitect test.

Once they started Tech Transfer the work to understand how they achieved the necessary approvals should have started in parallel. Home use approval has been the Achilles heal of the ABC-19 test, so you would have hoped our illustrious BoD would have given it a little more focus rather than what it appears now to be an after thought.

Why on earth would NCYT who themselves have been on the end of a DHSC shafting want to be involved with ODX with the way the DHSC behaving?

Well we have a team of we are now lead to believe in excess of 250 staff, i would have hoped that someone on the payroll would have thought it a good idea 3 months ago and not rely on a random on a share forum

Can anyone honestly say that looking back to Christmas eve 2020 when we had the Mologic CE mark announcement, and Colin assured us he had a team ready to go and tech transfer would be early in the new year, that we would be sat in June, with no sales and still looking at what activities we need to undertake in order to open up the market, Walbrook mentioned a trading update in July, now we have an update expectation of end of July, thats into H2 for christ sake.

So to summarise the fantastic updates we have had so far this week.

i) Lemon of a DHSC contract still has us sat on our hands
ii) DHSC looking to set us up with other test suppliers to use or capacity, when we were expecting to use it for the DHSC contract, figure that one out ?
iii) Omega have just realised the market for LFT will be home use, and have decided they should start to look and what they need to do to enable that market

Oh and in other news CHAI updated us with CD4 sales figures letting us know that we have sold less that 100K

What are the BOD actually doing, this just demonstrates commercially they havent got a clue, who on this board didn’t understand in december when the Mologic CE mark was issued that home use was critical for any major sales , christ they seem incapable of doing any forward planning at all, to only now be in talks as to what study methods they need to undertake, looks like the 250 staff only have one pen, or have to queue to use the telephone?
