Well if you look at the SP a week before the DHSC contract announcement we were in the 70's, so the contract value with regards to SP to date is -20p or looking at mcap reduction of £36M, Well thanks a lot UK government !

His continued insistence to follow the UK governments rhetoric is amateurish to say the least. The DHSC contract is now obviously a lights on contract for ODX, and his lack of regulator engagement for the Visitect antigen tests in December (when it was CE marked by Mologic) is criminal and should cost him and Angela Robertson their jobs, and as for Jag Grewal our commerical director who the hell would miss him ?

I think i have worked out why the government is so reluctant to deal with UK companies, we have been in existence too long.

If we want huge government contracts we needed to not existed at the beginning of 2019

Getting involved with this government has been catastrophic for all the companies involved in the UK-RTC, ABDX down more than 50%, ODX down 50%, BBI a take over target after existing for 50+ years. The idiot Bell led these companies into believing the need for antibody testing at the beginning of the pandemic would be huge and they have been crapped on by the government ever since, even last week a DHSC minister stated that there was no contract issued in October 2020 to Abingdon, and that was for the only Covid tests we have officially sold to date. It was clear that the real demand (£3.2B worth) was antigen, but Bell didn't disclose that at the time did he?

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. So what does Colin do, he jumps back on board with the idiot Jim "Bugger up" Bethell, and his much trumpeted support for the uk diagnostics industry, and look how thats doing for us. The only winners out of the Antigen consortium are the management consultants paid to set it up.

Rather than recruiting more, there should be some serious culling going on at BoD level.

@sentinel85uk: If you look back to the period of Feb and March 2021, with what we know now it shows that the company communication was intentionally misleading, There was no way on earth they could have been in a position to deliver 2M tests a week in april, as we now know Colin only two days earlier had signed a commitment to the DHSC to have the capacity available by the end of May, and was still commenting on the commissioning work into the second week of may, and as we all know the test selection had not been made, and the estimated Tech Transfer time was 8-11 weeks, again in the contract Colin signed on the 12th february.

@Wadogara: If we are talking about changing formats, lets ask why when at AXIS-Shield Colin was very keen to release actual figures on the amount of tests they produced, You can find his signature on the yearly statements

If you feel that the company representatives have manipulated the market for their own gains, you should

i) Write to them setting out your belief and ask them to respond

ii) If the response you get back (if you get one back) is not sufficient in your mind, then report them to the FCA, its as simple as sending an email with any supporting information you have

I have reported the "This April we will deliver 2M tests per week" tweets whilst the directors were selling.

@LTH73: Well unfortunately we take Colin at his word, that if they had any worthy orders they would update us, and remember the only "worthy" order we have yet to hear about was for 175K ABC-19 tests, (which. the government now seem to be using for free !). Either we believe him or don't, nothing adds up with this company, which we hope will become clearer in the July update.
