These material accounting adjustments - my background is in Accounts - can be quite subjective, eg the old joke about asking 10 different Accountants to complete a same company's Accounts and all arriving at a different result !!

Thedetector, considering Blanc's high level job with its high remuneration and all its responsibilities and pressures, I don't feel she should be allowed to do this extra work. Why does she need to do it anyway ? Can't she a cookery class, take up hill walking, or spend time with grandkids, etc...if her Aviva role doesn't excite her enough ?!!

I'm sorry you find my post disturbing, etc .., but I do have humanity - I do state my concern - but what can I really do about it, eg Protest and rant on the streets ?

My intention is not incendiary, but simply to state things as they are. Hamas started this current situation on Oct 7 last year. Yes, c.1,200 living in Israel were killed by them and hundreds more taken hostage. Hamas are the stated government of the Gaza peoples and their responsibility is to them. By Nov it was obvious to everyone that Israel would agressively pursue the policies that Netanyahu wants and that many Palestinians would die. I accept that you have more knowledge about the cultures in that area, as you lived there, but there are accepted principles for living that apply to all cultures. Hamas has effectively left it's own people to be slaughtered by the IDF as Hamas should have surrendered early on in order to save their 'own' people. What would a parent do to save their own child ? I cannot understand tbh how the IDF have killed so many Palestians because they have a very advanced military capability with great accuracy, etc... The reported unnecesary shootings by the IDF begars belief. I have some military training and no way would I shoot to kill the way the IDF has.

Neo1, tbh I question whether on-line advertising has any real positive benefit for business. I find the persistent popups, repetition and user view hindrance so annoying, especially on smart phones, that I consciously won't buy from any such advertiser unless it's a key item I need. Thus they receive a negative reaction from me. There are also the block Ads subscriptions. At least on TV one can pause and go for a break when the Ads come on amd they aren't constantly and rudely forced into ones face !! So I can see the general value of advertising on-line actually losing value over time and, therefore, ITV really needs to focus more on its other businesses, eg drama production.

For some reason, all my Capital letters were changed to lower case when I posted my last post, also probably this post. As a stickler for grammar and spelling, it is very annoying. Does someone know how to fix this please ?
