Yes, mystified why this fell so much today considering it is such a good defensive stock in difficult times. I won't say Recession as there is none at present and all the noise is about a perceived imminent Recession. It's near 4% drop today shows just how scattered the Market movements are.

Yes grant1987, this will go back up over £4 certainly, if not to £5. I bought in last Thurs at 360p only to see it collapse Fri. Targets are 30% above well over 450p so surely the experts know more than me and their targets are within 12 months. This is what investing is, Warren Buffet doesn't get all depressed if he's made an investment and could have bought it 20% cheaper 12 months later. He's there for the LT !!

Barclays today maintain their sp target of 700p, God love them !! So do I by the way but not as prominent !!

Chandley, I suspect the convenient header of today's latest article about Oil 'Citigroup says oil prices could tumble to $65 by the end of the year if a recession whacks demand' has spooked the Algos and down we go. Algos wouldn't bother reading the details which is that the Headline is deemed by Citigroup to have only a 10% probabliity right now !! Their 50% probablity is a fall to USD85 but they also have a 30% probability for c USD 112. True manipulation. Any firm using Algos should by law have to have their accuracy audited and passed by an appropriate legal body because after all we're dealing with billions USD here.

Hi grottyface, your SWS article may have some small influence but note the statement within it 'Darktrace insiders own 26% of the company, currently worth about UK£484m' which they don't place much importance on. The fact that Insiders have sold about £18m in the last year but have actually retained over 25 times more (£484m) certainly gives me confidence in DARK !! I'd expect intelligent insiders to diversify a certain amounts or maybe the sales were to pay taxes or buy property !! SWS I suspect, from reading many of their articles which are 95% same format (just different figures and share name) are substantially written by Algos. Their main purpose is to rope in new paying subscribers so they always end their articles with some hint of 'doom and gloom' about a share. The fact that they refer to Insider behaviour over only a short period (using the halo effect) actually gives me little confidence in their ability to stock pick though I do read their articles in case they do say something useful !! I have great confidence in DARK over the next few years and won't be selling unless real bad news does emerge.

I'm with you Bonga, feel that today's RNS provides a framework for mega profits in the next 5 years !!

HeresHopin, I've a respectable holding here with avg sp 2p and have held since 2016 and Strat Aero days. With hindsight I shd have sold when sp hit 6p+, however I am where I am. Today's RNS shows that at the very least the current NNN mgt know the theory. If they can successfully convert this strategy / plan into reality, then this share will fly. This is the real Long-term investing !! Even if it takes 10 years to get a 5 bagger, ie 10p sp for me, it'll have been worth it !!

optimal economies of scale come into play. DARK will be highly profitable within few years. Cyber security is fast growing and DARK is in middle of it

jcb208, be aware, and I'm 99% certain, Simply Wall Street's and other's articles are written by AI Algos. You can tell by the very rigid same formats used in all their articles and mistakes made re %'s, etc.. One I read recently said the div had increased from 5.1% to 5.1% !!

Yes LegalEagle1. Current Brent poo nearly USD112 so market must be assuming reduced volume sales. However, there aren't enough developed sources to meet an oil and gas demand reduced by recession. Higher oil demand v supply is here to stay for years yet until the Wind turbines and Solar panels have caught up. Very surprised at the drop today is bought initial qty at 360p yesterday. Am a LTH and also have BP and SHEL so thought a higher exposure to Oil was worth it. HBR also has c £4b ?? retained losses on its B/S which presumably means no WT until that's used up ??

Pearls, think you meant Darktrace below which is a real bargain right now ?
