Emerald, whatever's going on, late tis morning the sp was 420ish and now is 408p. GS has them as Conviction Buy, also two targets exceeding 600p. Even BankofAmerica has a 500p target. Who and why are people selling ? Heard something ridiculous re Motor Assocs asking BP to reduce price at pump, however simple response to that is to give H1 2022 Loss figure and the Year 2020 Losses and that'll shut them up !!

Conger2, any WIP costs on invoiced but unfinished contracts are also in B/S as an asset (deferred costs) to partially contra the Deferred Income (deferred sales invoiced re WIP contracts), would be interesting to know the GM of these part finished contracts !!

Gary59, at my age I've seen enough to certainly not be naive !! I've seen the publicly broadcast and US legitimised (?) murder of Osama bin Laden - a very evil dangerous man and agree with his murder as I would with V Putin's - however still Murder under US law and no-one prosecuted. I've seen many frauds swept under the carpet to suit various regulatory orgs., etc.. Tony Blair's wrongful action on Iraq (agree though on extermination of the Husseins), current legal actions against Donald Trump, even slow (continuous publicity forced it) action against Boris's lies to Westminster recently, etc... Greed, Obsession with Power, Vanity, Narcisism, etc.. But Gary59, the persons commiting these actions are the naive ones because they are already quite / very rich / powerful, etc... and their new conquest doesn't really materially change their existence, and they will die some day themselves and not considering the latter is their naivity. I admit I don't naturally think like these criminals, even if aware as I say I am of such behaviours, but genuinely cannot understand the motivation to make another £1m illegally/criminally when one is already worth let's say £50m and earning let's say £2m p.a. !! We all have to live with ourselves and most aren't sociopaths !!

I'm a LTH here but concerned, and even fascinated, by the persistent drop in sp at present. Divs are 5star, growth potential good into NP alternatives, Cannabis, relatively recession proof, etc.. Would prefer debt reduction rather than share buy back, but interest rates still very low v history and I'm not the boss !! Maybe reallocation of funds to US top tech cos who recently have had good results ?? The recent Russia W/O was a once-off. Any views ??

Why this is bobbing about so much is hard to understand. Hit a nice high over 360p Wed 3/8 around 10am, but then fell about 5-6% to now 342p !! Is it the Taiwan situation - prod lead times can be many months / years so ? - is it the BoE Int Rate decision today ? - surely the 0.50% already built in ? - RR results out today ? JPMorgan have upped their price target to 510p. Any views from anyone out there ?

If sp hits 6p in next 12 months, we'll all be dancing, dancingfred !! Picked up some more today !!

Aware of the Taiwan situation but with hindsight could have made decent money trading this and BAB today. Prices started dropping circa 11am, but no way to know why then and how far they would have dropped especially with JPM increase in target sp to near £10 !!

These generic copies could be ready by 2026, 4 years away for heaven sake !! Much will happen before then, look at the changes of the last 4 years !!

Monty888, any chance you can please a link to these possible laws ? All I could find was https://www.fightcancer.org/news/department-justice-lawsuit-against-tobacco-industry and Master Plan compensation agreement which started 1998. There's always something going on against the tobacco industry, also new proposed action in US against Oil industry !! Also considered by lawmakers are the large numbers of employees in these industries, same as war machine manufacturers, all SIN Stocks. Certainly wouldn't penalise the Lockheed Martins and British Aerospaces at mo considering the current political climate and a good puff is most welcome to calm our nerves !!

One could argue: why exit Russia at all because EU, Canada, etc... breaking legal sanctions themselves ? As a minimum, BATS, IMB, BP, SHEL, etc... should get compo from the Frozen Russian Foreign Reserves though the EU has relaxed part of this sanction as well !! If I was top dog in a company that was losing through exiting Russia because of the EU's sanctions I'd rally other similar cos to refuse to exit unless compensated. Why should we shareholders suffer whilst EU continues to flout their own sanctions ? Don't get me wrong, I'm very sensitive to the Ukrainians, personally I'd blow Putin's brains out if I had the chance and surprised no-one has yet done it.

Punter64, agree that such drops don't instil confidence. However, the divil is in the detail and if you study that, rather than a Headline and the 'market' reaction to same, you'll see that CMCX is a very solid company. It has no debt, majority owned by a Lord Luccas, is growing, etc...Agree the RNS could have been written with some positive quantitative elements to counter the 5% higher costs negative, but the market drop of 19% is not warranted. You obviously are not a shareholder here and probably aren't aware of the detail. ULVR is a good example of a share in recent months which the great market (your barometer) knocked to £34 because of its bid for GSK part Haleon, now it is £40 !! I'm a moderate lt holder of CMCX and cobfident going forward.

So punter64, you operate on the basis that the market (and that is itself hard to define as it comprises many different elements) is always right ? Are a share holder in cmcx ? What about meme stocks then and their sp movements ? Are you an investor who judges a book by its cover therefore ? SHEL fell to c £9 in 2020, now it's c £20.....

r1234, a 4% div on sp of £15 + a growth extra amount also a possibility. So current sp maybe not unreasonable as the Nov21 RNS indicates 'growth-enabling dividend'.

Punter64, please back up your statement below. The only negative within today's RNS is the 5% extra costs and that could be seen as a positive given current inflation and expansion taking place at CMCX.

unhooked, what you're missing are the desert buzzard scavenger shorters who go for a quick gain and then move on after eating as much flesh as they can when there's any perceived weakness in an RNS. Inflation us c 10%, CMCX are expanding and they say their costs are up by maybe only 5%. Some of the latter expenses re dev of platforms could possibly be capitalised but hasn't been because the individual invoice/ amount is below a threshold for capitalising. This drop is definitely unjustified.

Rookie11, Prop up the share price ? Our share price is below concensus and analyst ratings. EIG would do better waiting for higher sp and for good results that will push up the sp. Surely EIG want to get best price ?

Morrymy....... Pfizer said they would start reducing their holding from Nov22 in an organised phased fashion. They won't throw all their shares into the market in one go, but bit by bit, to try not to knock the share price. Holding reasonable sp also in their interest. There must be a minimum sp that Pfizers require, below that and they won't sell !!

Gary59, you seem to be implying collusion between non-connected traders ? Latter would have to act in collusion - illegally - to pull an sp down 3% and then up 3%, otherwise they'd be pulling against each other and the movements wouldn't be as severe.

Ditto re my last message but for today. Also BATS has bought back 200,000 more shares today. More Growth potential re Canabis and BATS becoming more dominant in Vaping in USA. I'd like to know who is selling and why, fascinating !!
