South Africa is irrelevant. BMN sells nothing there and probably never will. Nikomarov doesn't have the drive or focus to make anything of Bushveld Energy. Read between the lines - BMN are cutting it loose because it's become an albatross around its neck. FM will never tell you that, he'll sell 'vertical integration' as something else - something that won't happen in SA with so much corruption and governmental incompetence.

BMN is a miner that's ramped up production to 5200mtv. Global uptake of VRFBs (BE inconsequential) and many other inflection points have the potential to make it a big cash generator once the Orion debt is dealt with.

Six months after announcing the 'carve out' and they have told us absolutely nothing about it despite promising an update before the end of the year.

If you get shares in BE would you keep them or sell them and buy back BMN? Why would you trust Nikomarov to run BE when he failed to get any Eskom contracts and hasn't had the balls to show his face in 7 years?

HarChris and I have a minor disagreement on the significance of recent V price rises that's all. I agree that there are plenty of drivers that should at the very least sustain V prices throughout 2023.

My annoyance remains communications. Mojapelo's drivel about how broker forecasts are an authentic reflection of where the SP should be are highly patronising. Meanwhile, the whole 'BE carve out' debacle has been another masterclass in shareholder disdain. Nobody has damaged shareholder sentiment more than he has.

By my calcs the recent rise in Europe probably represents approx $280k in revenue. But revenue is not profit so it's not particularly significant in helping to eradicate Orions $65m debt.

It is quite clearly a fact. A 12.5% increase in a region that represents only 35% of sales = negligible profit AND the SP is down on the month.

I didn't say the V price has a negligible effect on the SP either. I said CURRENT V price rises will have a negligible effect on the SP. It's up 12.5% in a region that represents only 35% of sales, this will not lead to significant enough cash generation to impact the SP.

If the V price continues its upward trend, great, but nobody knows what will happen to the V price tomorrow, next week or next month.

Christmas doesn't change the fact that these V price rises will have a negligible impact on profits or the SP. If you stick to facts rather than blatant ramping, shareholders can make more informed decisions.

The SP rose 5p earlier this year on V price rises of 35% in EU & US and 20% in China.

Since the start of the month, all we've seen is a 12.5% rise in EU, 5% in US and 2.6% in China. This would barely register a penny rise.

Why don't you write to the company and find out? As a shareholder, you're entitled to know.

I'm not sure the extra 156mtv "greatly exceeds" H1 when you take into consideration there was a 1 month maintenance shutdown. Production looks exactly the same to me, which is poor considering there was load shedding in H1 so that's clearly continuing to affect the business.
