Dear Ape. Far be oi for me to tell you what to write, but I'm mildly intrigued as to why you give a toss? I am a BMN holder and am therefore entitled to **** off my investment as much as I like.

If I sold BMN tomorrow, I wouldn't come back to either talk-up or trash the company as its performance would be complete irrelevant to me or my finances.

No offence, but your behaviour smacks of someone who has some sort of mental disorder that requires medical intervention.

Pumpers and dumpers do what they do - the effect that has on the SP is fairly intangible, but as sentiment works both ways then surely one would even out the other. If either do have an effect, it's likely to be transient as only a very small percentage of SHs are likely to be influenced by it compared to the activities of the company, which obviously has a massive effect on the SP and sentiment.

I very much doubt anyone has bought/sold based on anything you or I say - at least not enough to move the SP one iota. In fact, it's highly presumptuous, one might say, arrogant, to presume we yield that much influence.

Although the typo is minor, I agree that it just adds to the air of incompetence surrounding the company right now.

Why are they still employing SP Angel when their broker forecasts are laughably inaccurate and full of typos a 10-year-old wouldn't make? Even worse is that the broker keeps putting the same typos up despite being told they're there while BMN does nothing. Then Mojapelo tells us that we should look to the broker forecasts as an accurate representation of where the SP is heading.

All in all, absolutely farcical.

Oh dear, having a bit of a Twitter spat. Alfachump has a hard-on for Cellcube, no-doubt because BMN has a stake in it. BBN going with IES because their VRFB projects are further advanced. BMN sold it's stake completely in IES if I recall.

Hard to trust what either say now. BBN completely messed up his valuation of BMN by ramping the connection to Eskom before bailing out quiet as a mouse. Alfachump is so knee deep in this stock he's lost all rationality and will attack anyone or anything that challenges FM's strategy.

A sorry sight. Only a few years ago, this pair were best buddies licking eachother's organs while the realists were slaughtered for having contrary opinions. Fine example why ALL opinions are valid and we should help each other make better decisions by examining the pros and cons of our investments, questioning those who wish to mislead us.

He borrowed $65m from Orion but "slower than predicted growth" now means nobody knows to what extent he can pay it back. Don't you find that somewhat reckless?

More than anything, that is what has destroyed shareholder value and is why 2023 is make or break for FM's credibility.

When I say FM has made a mess on multiple fronts, I recognise that BMN has had to face some global headwinds beyond its control but he must still bear huge responsibility for the appalling sentiment on this stock. That's principally due to continually missed production targets, a complete failure to communicate regularly on any level and patronising comments regarding SP performance and broker targets.

Announcing the BE carve out six months ago, not following that up with any sort of explanation for another five months and then stating he would provide an update prior to Xmas only to fail to do so is abysmal comms. As CEO of a publicly listed company he has a responsibility to provide shareholder value - you'd have to be psychopathic to believe that aspect of his role has been anything other than an abject failure to date. We haven't had a decent RNS for three years.

There is an opportunity for redemption and I'm optimistic that can happen, otherwise I wouldn't be holding, but FM really has to deliver something special this year to have any credibility.

What's clear is that a lot of shareholders have been burned somewhere between 30-50p. However, it's not really Mojapelo's fault. He had no control over V prices exploding the way they did in 2019 and their subsequent nosedive.

If you're a shareholder looking for someone to blame for buying at those prices you probably fell for all that guff spouted by those liars Alfachump, Ophidian, Sanchez etc. And let's not forget the fallen BBN, who tried to convince everyone that Eskom tenders were practically a done deal before bailing out and selling all his shares.

If you fell for their garbage, you probably got burnt.

No doubt, FM has made a complete mess of things since then on multiple fronts, but the acid test for me is how he services the Orion debt. If he makes a complete hash of that and the SP struggles to recover from these horrendous lows it really would be amateur-hour stuff. Allied to his already condescending attitude towards shareholders and refusal to communicate anything in a timely manner, I'd probably want him gone.

Pdub, you cite that major disruption caused by COVID, global logistics issues, war in Ukraine and worsening of load shedding could not have happened at a worse time for BMN, but what do they have to do with the vanadium price and BMN's ability to pay off the Orion debt?

1. The vanadium price BENEFITED from the conflict in Ukraine with significantly higher prices from Feb-Apr 2022.
2. Due to the unusually mild winter gas prices have come down to pre-conflict levels and will not have the predicted detrimental effect on costs.
3. Mojapelo has already forecast that BMN will meet its production targets for the year despite load shedding.

The vanadium price averaged much higher in 2022 than it did for the previous two years, and yet there are still major concerns about BMN's ability to meet its debt obligations.

So I say once again, what made FM think he could ever service that Orion debt in full by November 2023?

It's a bit too soon to be talking about considerable achievements.

The debt is a millstone around BMN's neck. I just don't understand how Mojapelo projected that it could be feasibly paid off by Nov 2023. Renegotiation means what? More dilution and more pain for shareholders, but not pain he will have to withstand.

My thinking at the moment is that he is not the 'genius strategist' everybody makes him out to be. It's very easy to recklessly spend other people's money and it's going to take a lot to restore FM's battered reputation.

alfredh - the V price is uncoupled from the SP because nobody wants to invest in a company that has $65m debt hanging over it with no clear roadmap to paying it off.

A portion of the debt will likely be renegotiated, but there's no point FM entering discussions about that when he doesn't know what the V price will be in 6 weeks or 6 months.

This is the uncertainty that's pinning the SP down and it's really not surprising that AIM investors are looking elsewhere in the short-term.

Unfortunately, SA is totally uninvestable at the moment. Thankfully, BMN doesn't sell anything in SA, but discussions about mini-grids and self-generation of electricity are probably never going to materialise. The coal barons have corrupt energy minister Gwede Mantashe in their back pocket and he wants nothing to do with renewables - De Ruyer's poisoning is all part of that hideous scenario.

It seems that Ramaphosa is either unwilling or simply can't get rid of Mantashe - otherwise he would have.

Vertical integration is dead IMO. The BMN story is solely about mining vanadium at increased levels of production and hoping Chinese VRFB projects and other factors help to substantially raise and sustain the V price in the medium to long-term. If so, and particularly if we can get a major spike over the next 24 months once the Orion debt is cleared, I can see a strong pathway back to 30p or higher. That's the hope at least.

It's not really an overreaction. People come here seeking accurate information - if that information is deliberately misleading (positive or negative) it needs to be called out.

Having apparently put well over £100k of his own money into BMN, Lawrence H's ludicrous hyping and misinformation is clearly designed to con people into investing.

Why you still hear then? Saying the mini-grid will make up for load shedding either displays your complete ignorance of the business or that you're bare-face lying in a lame attempt to benefit your investment. That's intolerable and disgusting.
