As uncomfortable as it is to hear it, ARCM101 makes a valid point. However, I think it somewhat unlikely. BMN should be comfortably profitable with US prices and have until Nov 2023 to start paying off Orion.
Load-shedding in SA is still a big problem for Vanchem, but we're coming towards the end of the winter in SA and the return of Koeberg's Unit 2 nuclear plant (end July) would add 920 megawatts to the national grid helping to ease load shedding. If all goes to plan (not that they ever do), Vanchem will be free to hike up production alongside Vametco as costs drop.
Worst case scenario, BMN can sell Lemur or renegotiate debt but the interims will tell us a lot more. You can take that as your pre-warning, but I think that's leaning more towards being pleasantly surprised than terror.
