I agree but sadly millions of people simply don't care. We live in a ****ed up world. This will blow over as soon as something else supplants it in the news.

In mid March I bought ASOS shares at £1.10 a share. Suddenly workers in their main Barnsley hub started saying they were being used as cattle as the rest of the country shutdown and the social media feeds went crazy with people abusing them and telling them to close their factories. Corbyn and labour mps got involved too. What happened? Something else took over people's attention and three months later the share price had tripled...

I think it's a good sign that the company is not relying on rns' or the anticipation of updates to maintain its share price. It wasn't sustainable to be clinging on to the monthly sales update...

The longer this goes on for the bigger the potential upside imo.

Why can we expect that dibs? It took from the 10th June to 1st July for Acacia to sell 2% of their holding (9.55% to 7.54%). Could be another week or so until they are down to 5%...

What is becoming clearer by the day is that the market is viewing this as a one time chance to make hay whilst the sun shines. Forward projecting to say 2022 it imagines novacyt using this one-time cash injection to build the company into a £200m business with a turnover of £30m ish a year.

The slightest whiff in a forthcoming rns of a substantial long term partnership with DHSC or any major administration and this would let the brakes off.

Anna highlights the fact that novacyt failed to make a profit in 2018 & 2019 so instead compares price to sales. So of course she uses the £120m figure or at least some sort of middle ground between last years sales and our sales up to now for 2020... no she uses the £11.5m from 2019! This gives a figure of 17.8 compared to the industry average of 4.2... 2020s price to sales should be less than 1.5 following the next update and that's after just 5 months of selling covid kits!

There is no mention of the huge amounts of money the government is planning to invest in building up the UKs diagnostics and the relationships novacyt has across the globe. She also talks about competition but seems to have no knowledge of how hard other pharmas are finding it to get their products online.

This does give me hope however. If this is the level of research most people put into their investments then maybe we are right after all and it will be everyone else playing catch up??

You don't need to get hung up on this point gkb47. Whether it was in an rns or not it's pretty straightforward to ascertain.

I agree with you oil, including myself. There was a strong feeling on here that the investment case for synairgen was so compelling that this would rise substantially into results. There was also broad consensus that this fell because results were 6-8 weeks away and that investors would all be back in June to position themselves for results.

We can put that theory to bed now but that doesn't mean that results won't be positive.

It seems nuance goes over your head. Nolupus raised some points that deserved attention and then someone pops up with a silly comment about a lack of urgency and everyone jumps on that comment. Stop pretending that I'm the one making snidey jibes. I am asking for some on here to ignore the stupid ill informed posts and engage with the intellectual criticism.

I've noticed time and time again on here that well thought through and intellectual criticism is less engaged with than the stupid comments. It gives a chance for SS, Rich etc to move the conversation away from debate into ridicule...

It always makes me chuckle when someone claims to have a thicker skin than most but is unable to let anything slide. Some people are just unable to spot their own deep insecurities. Rich you simply can't see that it's the tone of your responses that end up leading to a few throwaway negative posts blowing up into something much bigger.

Thanks again Chris, I agree. By being so vague with 'summer' it might be that he knew of reasons that the results could be delayed beyond the usual 3-4 week standard turnaround...

I can very much assure you that most posters on here were looking at the week commencing the 22nd June for results and if not the week commencing 29th June. That most likely just means that those individuals were wrong but to pretend that there wasn't a mass of conversation on here around that timeframe is bull**** I'm afraid.

Thanks other Chris. I'd like to point out that I'm still holding strong here and have no plans to sell out before results. I'm only against some of the more belligerent posters having no time for what I consider legitimate concerns and frustrations although some posters are more capricious than others (I remember oilornothing aiming for £27 a share not too long ago and now says the game might be up!).

I do think blaming IIs and MMs though week after week gets just a bit boring and tiring...

I have to admit I'm a bit suspicious of a few posters on here now. The lack of discussion around the late COPD results and the immediate willingness to bat it away as nothing and to assume they will be released alongside the covid hospital results raises alarm bells.

Questioning the lack of results is not conspiratorial, it is a legitimate concern.

I have to say I side with Seb here. We have mindless ramping and positive predictions on here that go unchallenged and then negativity is swiftly shut down. Both should either be challenged or left alone, there is significant nonsense posted from both sides.

The truth is that there are hundreds of shares out there that have the potential to return 50, 60, even 100% for investors over the next 12 months with much less risk than this. So unless you've really done your research and are heavily married to this (which acacia most likely won't have) you aren't going to wait for results...

With low volume they aren't going to be out for another few weeks realistically, are they?
