As first seen several months ago, this one is about to go in to production any time now with the magna mirror and SM DMS (5:27). Looks like a limited volume for this '50' model, but it's another VW model nonetheless. What a nice car, I'd quite like one of these!

European model. Is this SEYE or SM? 1.8/2 for DMS over at the Euro NCAP site. So one of the best scores we've seen so far for DMS, at Euro NCAP.

There's a couple of new 2026 Dacia models on youtube channel SDA Dan cars. DMS in the A pillar, looks same or v similar setup as models from parent company Renault . Looks promising for SM, given the strong relationship between Renault and Valeo for the Software Defined Vehicle of which ADAS is a critical part.

Last post from me here. I'm focusing on KPIs going forward. It's impossible to really know what's going on at each oem for any ordinary investor. So much secrecy.

I guess there will be quite a bit of dual sourcing from oems. Chinese Audi models are supplied by smarteye in the view of CB. Also, just looking at the Chinese version of the 2026 Ford Bronco that has appeared within the last day on youtube, there appears to be a DMS directly beneath the mirror. Not seen this setup in a Ford before.

Like others have said however, better to concentrate on the KPIs going forward.

To be fair, you want 'the daddy' wins. VW Group are an example of that, see how many cars they sold in Europe in 2023 for example compared to merc and BMW (the latter is still supplied for DMS by SM in my opinion).

Stellantis are another company you'd want to win and SM have at least a slice of that.

I also hope SM can get Toyota going forward, they sell approx 1 million plus cars in Europe each year.

DMS in Mazda at 2:36. SM have only had one confirmed win from Japan so far. My money is on Honda, but who knows for sure.

The Toyota and Suzuki models that were recently reviewed by EuroNCAP both scored 0.5. Room for improvement and a better supplier.

What was strange was that the 2025 Citroen C5 assessed by NCAP came with indirect DMS, yet we've all seen videos of the same car with direct DMS on utube.

It's really difficult to know. I know Togg is a Turkish brand, so this is interesting. I see that it only scores 1/2 for it's DMS however.

Many of the cars that come with direct DMS seem to be chinese. I wonder if some obscure DMS provider is the supplier for some of these brands. Many don't score particularly well for DMS. The IM IM6 caught my eye, as it scored a respectable 1.7/2 . Same score as Hyundai. Makes me wonder if smarteye is the supplier for the IM IM6, but that's only a hunch.

Something that caught my eye was the Merc GLC 2026. Is that a DMS at 11:31? It doesn't really look like prior SM implementations I have seen though - just 2 single illuminators across the horizon, whereas more recent mercs I had seen had 4 across the horizon. The illuminators look a little bit like what I spotted on a chinese Audi and CB says smarteye are the supplier there!
