I've seen little evidence of SM over there lately, aside from perhaps the VW UNXY 08 with DMS in the A pillar looking v similar to that in Renault, Peugeot and Vauxhall/Astra models in Europe.

Many of the VW models over there seem to come with a v cheap looking mirror. The magna mirror with SM DMS appears to be present in a few of the larger, well known models (Passat Pro, Tiguan Pro etc), but I haven't caught much sight of this lately apart from I think the 2026 Passat Pro a couple of months or so ago. We'd previously seen it in the 2025 model.

Smarteye seem to be penetrating Chinese Audi models quite nicely. Here in Europe, for VW group, I've only seen them in 1 Audi model (RS5), a Bentley and some Porsche models. All setups above the steering wheel.

It looks like smarteye have also now perhaps got themselves in to the 2026 Volkswagen ID.ERA 9X over in China, with the DMS being situated above the steering wheel.

Hopefully we see more evidence of SM over there before too long, in light of that press release from Magna last year:

Hopefully SM DMS finds it's way in to Indian cars in the future. Don't know how far away that would be.

Saw evidence of SM in the Audi A3 back in Jan, I'm guessing it went in to production in the last quarter based on this vid from the UK (18:45)

Don't know if we surpass 1 million cars for the quarter just gone, but some of the vehicles we're going in now are v high volume based on 2024 (and 2025) figures.

Audi Q3 and A3 , 79,000 and 84,000 respectively.

Hopefully we're getting growth in semi autonomous cars in USA and also cars in China, though seen little evidence of SM from China in recent times.

I believe the Espace and Austral are the other Renault models with DMS.

Yes, my thoughts too.

Some variants of Peugeot 308/408 look the same (not all have DMS yet perhaps). Not yet seen in the best selling 208.

Renault Clio and Dacia Sandero were the 2 top selling cars in Europe in 2024, both have DMS. Also seen in Twingo, Jogger, Logan and a few others that I forget. Confident it's SM.

Not quite so sure about the VW UNXY 08, but looks quite similar to the above!

They've been pretty accurate on market share for automotive, going back to 2020/2021 I think. I think prior estimates were circa 40% share of DMS market, the company may hit 50% or so for 2026.

I think Paul recently predicted a long term share of 35% in auto for SM. That would still be pretty good I think.

It looks like even mobileye are set to lose market share in ADAS going forward. The below is for level 2 plus vehicles, I guess all vehicles will have this capability by 2035?

I think we'll do quite well in auto for this quarter and hopefully be in an additional 1 million + cars. I've seen the tech appearing in a fair number of high volume vehicles since January, so that gives me some optimism in what are troubled times.

SM have quite a lot of feature sets developed it seems. Could algorithms for intoxication etc help push up royalties at some point?

GoogleAi has put some doubt in my mind, stating that Valeo have supplied DMS to XPENG in the past, but XPENG have been doing this in house more recently. That may be right or wrong, as I know the AI isn't always accurate.

It's the 2026 VW ID.UNXY 08. Its a semi autonomous (level 2) car for the Chinese market. DMS is in the A pillar at 23.42. Looks v similar to DMS in Renault and some of the more recent Stellantis models

I've always struggled to get excited about Fleet. I'm invested here for auto and the tech is appearing in lots of new models so far this quarter.

Further to CBs article the other week about technology sharing. Could Renault, or more likely Valeo, be sharing with Stellantis then? Another DMS in the A pillar, they look so similar (5:26).

Not sure that all new variants of this model have the tech installed yet, it seems to be absent in some vids.

I hope these projections from the company of a 50% market share in auto, for Europe, are accurate. I know CB has estimated 50% +, whether he is right or not time will tell. I want the company to under promise and over deliver, not the other way round.

I thought we'd pretty much tied up Audi in Europe (it's SEYE in China I believe?), based on commentary from CB many months ago, but looking at the new Audi RS5 over at autogefuehl this is surely SEYE. It's prob a small volume model, while we've seen SM in larger volume Q3 and forthcoming A3 models. But still, it looks like an element of dual sourcing at Audi for whatever reason.
