Talk of being in production in China for semi autonomous cars. I wonder if this is for the VW UNXY 07 and VW UNXY 08 models , both semi autonomous cars that have DMS in the A pillar.

Pre sales start today and should be a good seller this one. Lots of nice comments about it, in stark contrast to that Audi Q4 the other day!

Nearly 750,000 cars with this tech now. Over 850,000 'subscriptions' expected for this tech by year end. It's certainly taken a long time to get some momentum.

We're still in this tech surely, what with links to valeo and everything I see based on google and other searches I've conducted.

2026 Q4 etron. 3rd best selling Audi in Europe I think. Looks like SM get the compact models then, smarteye seen in larger models so far.

They seem to be doing quite well and it should be a good read across for SM for this past quarter. I'm not sure who their major customers are, but I'm guessing Hyundai and Merc among others. I've seen them in two further European Audi models this past week, an A6 Avant and also a Q6 e-tron. More evidence of dual sourcing at Audi.

I think the pricing pressures out there mean they'll likely go for putting cheap tat in many of the cars. Some of the higher end models that we've seen in 2025 are perhaps the exception, such the Passat pro, Terramont pro, Tiguan Pro, Tayron, UNXY ID06.

The VW ID2 is the new ID.POLO, which we'll see officially launched here in Europe in the next few weeks I'm sure.

I think next months Barcelona motor show will be of more interest to us.

My own guesstimate is we get over a million, based on new models we've seen since Jan. I'll stick my neck out and make a prediction of 1,050,000 vehicles for the quarter. Could be a little bit more, could be a little bit less.

It is a strange one, with there being no announcement of a contract win here. As Esc stated, it must definitely be SM looking at that video.

Production started in Q2 it seems, with the expectation of 20,000-25,000 units of this level 2++ vehicle being manufactured in 2026.

Rivian of course supply electric delivery vans to Amazon, previously seen with a DMS in the A pillar. You wouldn't expect to see a mirror in such a vehicle I guess, but it would be interesting to know who supplies their DMS technology.
