It is strange we've yet to see a review of our DMS. The VW Tayron assessed by NCAP didn't include SM DMS, but apparently all models across the EU and UK now come with this as standard.

It seems to be a similar picture for the Cupra Terramar? Direct DMS absent in the assessment, by we'd seen evidence of our DMS in this model last fall. I've just seen evidence of it being present once more, so I guess this model is also in play (4:50)

Maybe not, there don't seem to be plans for a steering wheel in the taxis. Not sure how that will work out!

Looks like waymo have ambitions to scale up their autonomous robotaxi tech in a big way, mention of 'tens of thousands'. I'd forgotten that magna were in the mix.

Hadn't noticed the Volvo EX30 (SAE level 2) until now. 0/20 for DMS. What a ****show.

looking at the poor score over at euroncap, in respect of dms for the hyundai equipped with level 2 semi automated driving technology, not sure there is a better place for magna to go. maybe it's a **** up from the oem, rather than the dms supplier, who knows. but that score was poor.

sm first got in to an sae 2 level vehicle in 2017 with gm. the company have been at the leading edge of this tech in cars for a few years now and i'd hope we'd get a better score than 5/20 with our setup in a similar vehicle.

I see the KIA EV3 deploys an eye tracking system in the standard model, scoring 1.5/2. But, as stated below, it's not scoring very well on the level 2 assisted driving model, where it also surely deploys eye tracking.

There are several other cars with SAE level 2 features that have recently been reviewed, so far (aside from the KIA) they seem to be indirect systems. None score particularly good. Still, interesting that this tech is now making it's way in to more cars across OEMs.

But, it states that the vehicle detects fatigue and several types of distraction. How can you detect 'several signs' of distraction, without an eye tracking system. I guess it is an eye tracking system?

Actually, I have doubts that this is an eye tracking system. The mention of direct driver monitoring is confusing, as the driver is required to keep their hands on the wheel.

Over at the Euroncap site, the Kia EV 3 (level 2 SAE) has scored 5pts out of 20 for it's direct driver monitoring system.

Inflated design wins that so often don't come to fruition in the case of the former, while the latter has pretty much has zero skin in the game as far as auto is concerned. Better sticking to crappy video gaming.

As previously sighted, the magna mirror with our DMS does seem to have gone in to some models in China at least. I believe some of these models are exported?

It is strange that our DMS is not present in the Tayron. I've seen videos in recent days with our DMS clearly being present in the Tayron.
