VW UNYX 06 was SM DMS in the Magna mirror last year. Now UNYX 06, along with new models UNYX 07, 08 and as I recall 09 (from an auto show vid in china), have DMS in the A pillar.

All are semi autonomous cars and based on that Valeo press release a number of weeks ago with regard to them having started a program in China late last year, I suspect Valeo are the Tier 1 here and SM likely supply the DMS.

This is more clear. Looks no different to the 2024 setup for DMS, but you also have what I guess is OMS on top of the dashboard.

The DMS setups looks the same or at least v similar here, SM was certainly the supplier in 2024.

Merc are using different configs in different models. Only 1 LED here (21:15). Difficult to know who supplies here.

Thought this interesting. DMS forms a portion of the overall safety assessment and Paul stated in that vid the other day that so far SM DMS is going in to many models inclusive of a higher number of features, as opposed to the bare minimum. Some OEMs and/or models may be more focused on lower cost, rather than optimum safety.

Yes, we'd already established that SM are in the better selling (in Europe at least) Audi compact models - A3, Q3, RS3, Q4 Etron. Smarteye are in the larger models.

I'd thought smarteye were perhaps now supplying Mercedes, but I can't see them having name dropped them like they have for Volvo, Audi and Porsche and GM!

The DMS is present there but like you say is apparently at present 'not enabled' .

This looks exciting, the vid is worth a watch imo. Links with valeo also. These cars are the 'robots' imo.

Good update from the company. My estimate was 1,050,000 for auto so pleased with this.

Yes, based on evidence I have seen so far for VAG European cars, VW, Cupra/SEAT and Skoda badged models are or will be equipped with SM DMS.

Audi appears shared with smarteye, SM being present in the better selling 'smaller' models. Smarteye also appear in luxury brand Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini models that I have seen. Assumed to be for Europe.

That is at least some good news then!
