Surely DMS (as well as outward cameras) are integral to AEB.

I don't focus too much on the the accounts at the moment. It's the huge potential of the connected car offering that excites me here, with the possibility of this being rolled out on a large scale by roadside recovery companies & insurers etc. Tom Winnifroth has stated Trak tech is cr*p, yet the car genie product is winning awards.

I'm less excited by Trak trying to develop ADAS in house. Why not partner with the likes of SEE, or similar, on this? That's what other telematics companies are doing. The Trak driver monitoring solution caught sight of in Aug 17 by analysts at Cenkos sounded rudimentary and very much a work in progress. It's difficult to see how they can do this in house.

SEE is definetely my favourite stock over the medium/longer term. I think benchmark holdings is a nice business too, but don't really want to pay circa 65p when they're carrying 40 odd million pounds of debt. But I'll probably regret that, as i think they'll be a much bigger company in 5 years time.

Driver Monitoring doesn't get too many mentions in the new doument, but will be required for Occupant Status Monitoring as outlined therein. I assume SM technology could also be applicable to Child Occupant Protection/Child Presence Detection. In due course, perhaps also AEB? In instances where repeated warnings are ignored, perhaps speed restrictions and a limp home mode could be deployed (as per euro ncap 2025 doc). How easy would it be to totally stop the car safely? I'm assuming accurate road mapping would be required as a pre requesite, otherwise you would only want to bring the car to a gradual full halt in extreme circumstances, I.e the driver has become incapacitated.

True. With VSI having such a large stake and also a seat on the board, hopefully any manufacturing issues will shortly be resolved.

I spent too many years mostly underwater here to want to trade this share lol. I'd also rather keep it invested here than entrust it with the banksters. I'm confident we'll get a good ROI in time.

I think the auto opportunity ahead looks very exciting for SEE and I expect smarteye also. What a fantastic week. Auto kicking off in a significant way in 2020 and by 2022 all cars are autonomous level 2. The demand for camera based DMS will be huge.

Wilson63/Clogheen , as per safestocks interview with KK on 6th Feb, it would seem that any potential suitor would have to see value in the business as a whole.
