Back to Fleet. I also have an investment in Trakm8, a smaller position than here. I recall the CEO there stating that Telematics companies are generally valued at 4 x revenues on buy outs. As something similar to a Telematics business, if Fleet is currently doing say circa Aus $20 million pa, perhaps it could be worth around Aus $80 million. As I stated earlier though, I've no reason to think management are considering licencing Fleet out and nor do I want that to happen.

I'd be surprised and disappointed if the company decided to licence out the Fleet business. I'm not sure it's on the cards at all. If the company doubles the number of connections in FY19, that would still be a 100% increase on FY18 and no small feat. Would a licencing out on the other hand raise much more than the fairly modest US $17 million received for the off road business, a deal which in fairness was arguably needed at the time.

Hopefully as per kens interview last week we have double the number of connected feet products at end FY 19. Progress, if not as quick as we would like. Gen 3 Guardian expected calendar year 19 (12-18 months?) according to the last cenkos note. Hopefully this still stands.

Baxter1 Xilinx and the tier 1s will furnish the OEMs hardware wise, SEE provide the IP. Dont correlate manufacturing issues in fleet with auto.

It's been a bad day for sure. I can accept that sometimes there are bumps in the road and for a multitude of reasons s**t happens. I do think today's announcement is a setback and not a disaster. However, I'd echo the sentiment of others who have questioned the issuance of large numbers of shares to managers and whether this has been proportionate to progress made. I'm not necessarily against rewarding employees where tangible progress has been made, but shares issued never be excessive imo and there should be recognition of all employees and not just management.

Notwithstanding the fund raise at the start of the year, the SP went from 5p to 14p. We've not seen anything like that here before. I've felt for a while another raise will be needed at some point, be it a placing or loan; the broker forecasts are always aggressive and never met. But, if the company continue to win OEM contracts in the interim, maybe it doesn't matter that much. Perhaps we'll be way beyond 14p before long. More risk being out than in, in my view.

I'd have to admit that 12 months ago I don't think I'd heard of Geely before.

I know semicast has questioned whether a Tier 1 would be a potential suitor for SEE, given the experience of SEE being previously exclusively tied to Takata. But if Autoliv are intending to move in to new markets that include rail & aviation, perhaps they could yet be a candidate:-

I don't think Gervais Williams will sell his entire holding here, he's a fan of the company and no fool. This isn't a fly by night company, unlike quite a few on AIM. I guess they're selling a good number that they took up on the recent placing, banking a profit and reducing their exposure to a level that would allow them to take more shares should a further fundraise be required some point. A prospect that is hopefully unlikely and caninstead be fulfilled by a bank loan!

If you've been here 5 years or more, as many of us have, then you've seen all of this before (40 or 50% SP swings). It's frustrating, but if you believe in the company's long term prospects all you can do is sit and wait it out.

There was the virtue signalling RNS back in March, announcing Dunkerton's intention to donate a large glut of shares to charity. Now a donation to another 'cause', albeit via the media and not RNS lol. This guy is throwing cash around like a drunken sailor and looks like an attention seeker.

It would be nice to get an update on Fleet. Things seem to be going reasonably well, but I suspect the broker target for Guardian installs in FY19 may be a strectch. The target numbers always seem to be quite high and if a substantially cheaper version of Guardian (inclusive of FOVIO chip) is on the horizon, perhaps some orders will be deferred?

We've said before DMS is needed for level 4. Did Sebs read the article John C linked?

I don't want to see the company sold either. There wasn't much in that trading update the other day, that we didn't learn on 21st May. Whilst the company may need to raise more cash in due course, I'm sure along with it will come lots more opportunities.

I concur with much of that Mr BB. There's not much point putting out projections one month in to FY19, given that we fell short on the forecasts provided last Oct. Hopefully we'll get some more news on Fleet shortly but I continue to feel very positive considering the number of Fleet customers has increased from over 130 to above 300 in 12 months. It's a sign of strong momentum for me and hopefully this will be reflected in the number of units that are shipped over the coming months.

At FY17 trading update we had over 130 customers. At FY 18 now over 300 customers. At appears that things are going nicely but more detail would of course be welcome.

No major surprises for me.

Mostly positive and cash position is slightly better than expected. Also, an office is now open in Japan. I wasn't aware of that.

I guess the negative was the higher than expected hardware costs of Guardian 2. Does anyone know when the substantially cheaper Guardian version 3 will enter production?
