It's a bit weird frankly. I wasn't going to buy anymore, but I was p****d off when I returned home after a long walk and saw the SP. So I picked up a few more. It was only £1k worth of shares, yet shares seemed to be in short supply. Why? Well, I couldn't conduct a single trade of value £1k and was prompted to go for a negotiated trade. I tried this on a few occasions and gave up, eventually acquiring 2 lots £500 at a price of 4.61. It seems there was demand, yet the supply wasn't there unless my timing was unfortunate. I have to say that as much as I like SM, I do not like this s***y AIM exchange and all it's shenanigans one little bit. Last investment for me.

Indeed sgreen - human factors research. I'm sure all those collaborations that SEE has made will prove significant. Did some of the naysayers fail to listen to that aviation podcast the other day. Couldn'be be a***d? Very revealing and we have Emirates putting their own resources in to human factors research which in turn benefits SM who can further refine and enhance their solution.

Safestocks insists SEE will win Audi/VW and I can't recall that he's been wrong on any prediction made. I certainly wouldn't bet against him on this one either.

Red - yes it sounds like an advanced vehicle that requires a premium DMS. It should be noted that the car is based on VWs MEB platform and VW are intending to produce millions of cars on this new platform. Not necessarily all with DMS, but fingers crossed that many incorporate DMS and that SM is the provider!

See20 - It seems a no brainer to me given who VAGs rival motor manufacturers have turned to for performance DMS. Surely an announcement is around the corner.

If this is going in to production late 2020 (Skoda iv), I think they must have decided on their DMS surely?

SEE have also been collaborating with Emirates formally since that Oct 17 RNS. So, I think something will happen with CAE and I don't think we'll have to wait 4 years as Sebs thinks lol

Yep - it was a 'REACH' RNS. You probably wouldn't tend to release major contract news on a Friday. Even if SM did it with Byton as I recall. I don't like seeing RNS on a Friday as it is often a company trying to bury bad news. This is a bit of good news, especially for a Friday, even if not what some wanted.

If you freeze frame this vid at 1:09, it appears to state 'EYE TRACKING' just behind the steering wheel and the location is similar to where DMS is placed in the GM CT6.

According to that RNS last June, specifically that daddy win (OEM 4 - Ford), SEE 'expects to deliver its FOVIO driver monitoring technology into multiple vehicle platforms for mass production from 2020'. If it is all on time and starts with the F150 as per safestocks then I think that is v significant as the numbers sold annually run in to the hundreds of thousands per annum. A quick google search tells you that. Profitability or near profitability could therefore come quicker than some think.

If you're driving a semi autonomous car I guess you'd want to be vigilant at the possibility of someone cutting in to your path on the motorway. One of a number of reasons for DMS. I recall that video of a guy driving a CT6 with Supercruise, someone cut him up but his instincts kicked in and he reacted by hitting the brake pedal even though the car may have responded automatically.

If GM plan on adding lane changes to supercruise I hope they've spent a lot of time on getting the tech right.

Thanks for that link Redindi. So with Supercruise only being available in more limited circumstances (highways), and no cross traffic, this kind of event hopefully would not occur on a GM fitted with supercruise. I am working on the assumption that the Tesla was operating in semi autonomous mode.

If the car was in autopilot, why did the Tesla vision cameras, which have replaced Mobileye following the public fallout, and radar (they don't use LIDAR) not pick up the object ahead? Would a DMS have allowed the 'driver' to have hit the brakes in time? All questions that the investigators need to determine .

I believe Merc are developing a supposed semi autonomous level 3 (eyes off the road?) car incorporating our DMS. If there are issues with Tesla's outward looking sensors, let's hope our customers don't have the same problems.

I thought in the past SEYE had pictures of a MERC on their website? Don't know if they were a customer but I'm assuming they were.

Going back to Softbank, who have been mentioned recently on this BB lately. How can that lot buy all these companies with such a crappy balance sheet? I wonder how they'll fare if the global economy goes t**s up.

There maybe be reasons why SEE are reluctant to have a strategic investor unless it is a desirable suitor. I would have thought Xilinx would be interested yet not so far it seems. As far as ARM being sold off, was that a good or bad thing? For investors, I guess it was a good thing but maybe some have differing views (apologies for linking Daily Mail lol!)
