I don't go with the conspiracy theories and I don't even think shorts are a big factor at the moment.

The simple factor is the low volume - when Brent has a bad day any sells will depress the price - on a good day there are simply not enough buyers around to propel the price back up - therefore the SP just stagnates and the stock is ignored.

PMO seems to have the same problem but Tullow have a higher profile and seem to be improving, so there is hope - what we need is a bloody good war in the Middle East.

It looks like the same selling pattern is continuing this morning - a bright start gently pushed back by auto sells - it could be shorts of course.

I guess it explains the gentle price cap when the SP hits 15p and falls back again.

I reckon it could go a lot higher than that gkb - the sudden change in sentiment to oil shares and the increased volume resulting would I think be very significant.

Leyte Spirit is currently just to the west of Uist and will be arriving at Scapa Flo tomorrow afternoon shortly after SN.

Hopefully correct this time - based on SN draught of 12.1m - hook up around mid day on 6th July - load in the region of 500k.

So just for the record - hook up was 6th July - probably around mid day - load in the region of 225k as normal.

When I spoke to them about SM they hadn't even heard of us - like most reps they are simply programmed to sell in the here and now - very one dimensional.

The main thing is that they are bringing polyhalite to the attention of the industry and giving all their customers the chance to use it - that is invaluable.

I was up at Stoneleigh Park a couple of weeks ago for a trade show - ICL were there with a posse of about a dozen technical reps - far more than on most stands - promoting among other things their polyhalite range to growers and retailers in the horticultural industry.
