Yes that all makes perfect sense - so we could get an RNS soon re Swedbank holding - what we don't know is why they are selling - although it could be to climate change - and how fast they will sell the rest of the holding if indeed they plan to sell the whole holding. I guess as soon as the Enquest SP starts to respond properly to Brent again we will get our answer.

So it could be that a major shareholder is reducing - maybe Swedbank to clean up their portfolio re climate change or even another major shareholder for the same reason - its difficult to see another reason why they would reduce now with the SP at this level.
Morningstar have this list of shareholders - I have no idea how up to date it is.

They sent TK as the replacement because HK got held up in the French strike - if the weather had been OK TK was there to unload on Tuesday - as to why HK went later - no idea.

I am still not sure if Enquest are still using Teekay or if they have switched to Knot Offshore Partners for shuttle tanker services.

The hook up came as early as the weather allowed - the only field that did a hook up before Kraken was Alvheim but that was just overnight last Thursday-Friday in a short weather window for the second half of their load.

The transfer tanker Hovden Spirit isn't large so that could have limited the offtake - assuming AK carried on production through at least some of the stormy weather we could even see a tanker just before Christmas - by the 23-24th.

That would be 75k left in tank plus 10 days at 50k from 14th December - the weather forecast looks OK for that period.

The port facilities and proposed free port on Teesside should benefit from the fund - hopefully SM will be part of that.

Johnson will I think now head for the centre ground in British Politics in much the same way as Blair did in 1997 - he is much more like Blair than Thatcher in my view - also he wants a 10 year term and to freeze Labour out.
If Johnson does develop a more popularist base that is likely to appeal in Scotland as well.

It could be bad news either way for Enquest with increased taxation likely from a Scottish Government.

It could be that we will see Johnson offering Sturgeon more devolution - that would be the obvious compromise - maybe she wants that as well - that might even pave the way for sorting out the West Lothian question by removing the need for Scottish MP's to sit in the UK Parliament.

I think Scottish independence is the last thing that Enquest want - the SNP are bound to see North Sea Oil as a valuable source of tax revenue. If things start to move in that direction it could also have an effect on the SP.
If there was a vote, the outcome according to the opinion polls, would be much to close to call.
This issue will I think turn out much more difficult for Johnson to sort out than Brexit - it is likely to rumble on for years.

Johnson will simply adjust his policies to please the electorate and keep power - as I said he has no principles - he is just like Blair - history is repeating itself now with the boot on the other foot - its like going back to May 1997.
Simple rule in British politics - get overall power and head for the centre - it almost guarantees two terms.

I am not so sure - I think the January budget is going to give everyone tax breaks and splash the cash on public expenditure - Johnson will want to firmly establish himself in the centre ground of British politics - he will be more Blair than Thatcher.
His main advantage is that borrowing is cheap - he will give people what they want - power is the drug to him not principles.
