It looks like the weather should be OK for another hook up after about 09.00GMT tomorrow morning - this weather window looks set to last until the early hours of Saturday morning - so there will be plenty of time to fill up to 500K.

Just brought in here for the long term - the SP dipped to allow me to buy at 87.77p

I have been an investor in Ceres for several years - ITM should compliment them very well.

I guess the Iranian's haven't finished yet - they have tried the hard targets - now they will look for soft targets - hostages maybe?

I guess AAOG will be big buyers of SM shares today and in the weeks ahead - any shares that they pick up below 5.5p will be a bonus to them but the SP is likely to go to 5.5p and stick there.

By buying shares AAOG also block another offer - they may already be at just below 3% - hence the rise in SP over the last few weeks - especially yesterday.

Certainly good news that the mine will be built if the deal goes ahead.

But the end of the line for long term holders - we don't hold anywhere near enough shares to make a difference with this vote.

Its just a case of selling when the SP reaches 5.5p or waiting for the pay out - its a total cash offer so no shares in AAOG.

Latest - confirms two bases attacked -

Pentagon confirms rockets fired at two Iraqi bases hosting US troops
Tehran fired more than a dozen ballistic missiles from Iranian territory against at least two Iraqi military bases hosting US-led coalition personnel, the Pentagon confirmed.
"We are working on initial battle damage assessments," Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said in statement, adding that the bases targeted were at Ain al-Asad air base and another in Erbil, Iraq.

It seems like 13 missiles fired at a US coalition base near Bagdad with maybe other targets in Iraq attacked as well.

So far no reports of casualties or damage caused.

The technical analysis outlook is looking good at the moment suggesting first resistance is over 4p.
Traders seeing SM as a contrarian bet are probably behind the rise.
Lets hope we get some good news soon that will really lift the SP.

So that's 11.5 hours so far - probably around 200k.

NO has headed north - rather than going to Scapa Flo where she is expected - so it looks like she will ride out the storm and be back when the weather improves - probably Thursday.

She can handle a 500k load so we are still on course for 50k per day - the last tanker left on 27th December.

We need to see a good result re. the cash situation before the SP takes off.

I guess the value of the order isn't large but the fact that Croda have ordered ZINADOR 35L means that they are actually using it in a commercial product therefore it will be the first of many orders - hence - "a significant commercial milestone".

Just to add - with AK tethered to the sea bed and on an arc at the limit of its tether and with the shuttle tanker beyond that with the sea currents and wind pushing it away from AK, there is no danger of collision.
So they just have to manage the oil line and make sure it doesn't part as the waves get higher - presumably this is fed by some sort of winch that allows free movement with the waves.

I guess the difficult bit is the hook up so it will be interesting to see how long the transfer can last as the stormy weather moves in today.

NO is still edging closer - we don't have a hook up yet.

NO is close to hook up and is still edging closer or so it seems - AIS isn't perfect for AK - they could even be hooked up - the satellite image isn't very reliable - time will tell.

Brilliant - the forecast indicated that the weather would improve as it got dark - the return of AIS coverage indicates that this has happened already - so with a hook up at 18.00 we could get 12 hours pumping before tomorrows storm.

NO is a smaller tanker so she may make her way to Rotterdam directly with around 200-250k.

The weather forecast looks awful for the foreseeable future so it maybe that the normal pattern of hook ups has to be abandoned and the tankers will just come and take advantage of short weather windows.
