They seem to limit the loads to 500-525k - but who knows they may take more with the weather forecast being so stormy.

The weather looks stormy from Saturday 11th until Friday 17th January so it would make sense to take more now - we will see.

NO is still hooked up - so we had 11.5 hours first time and so far 6.5 hours this time - so I guess they will be finished late tonight or in the early hours.

Probably hooked up now but AIS is poor so cannot be 100% sure.

This is the key to success here - especially the conversions to Miller and Carter - the branch in Lancing was absolutely rammed on Christmas Eve - great staff - fantastic food.

On a morning of good news - NO is just 0.7 nautical miles from AK for round 2 of the hook up.

Still the unanswered questions - will revenue rise fast enough to make a fundraise unnecessary? - maybe borrowing can plug the gap? - maybe a strategic partner will take a stake?

Good news - she is turning back towards AK.

For some reason NO is steaming towards the Norwegian coast at around 8 knots - she is now about 45 miles from AK or 3-5 hours sailing time - I have no idea what is going on?

The only way forward with this investing lark is to take it on the chin and move forward with the next big hope but it is important to learn on the way - with SM it was more than the price of Brent that was out of their control - they had to rely on Politicians and Bankers - very bad news!

Wow, what a day - with Brent following events in the Middle East, I think anything in the range of $65 - $70+ is possible within the space of a few hours - dealers must love the volatility.

Its not a question of flying the white flag - we just have to face facts I am afraid - it is over.

All they have to do it to turn round and say the company would have gone bust if they hadn't "supported" the bid.

Yes - he is a corporate creature - that's why they get paid more in a few days than most of us do in a week.

I would guess that CF will probably continue to be in charge at SM when AAL take over - he may even get a seat on the board at AAL.

There is now zero chance that AAL won't end up as owners of SM - over 438 million shares have changed hands at around the 5.5p mark and I guess most of these are in AAL's hands or will be quite soon. This is likely to continue for some time.

In these situations the company making the offer don't pay a penny more than they have to - so I would be very cautious about holding - you could end up with less than 5.5p per share.
