In theory yes, but if investors cannot buy shares or buy as many as they want too then they tend to look elsewhere.
However, when momentum builds price movement will happen and the SP will become more volatile and create a market.
As the price moves up, investors need to purchase less shares for the same value of investment, hence volume increases.

Its, just getting the momentum with so few shares in circulation - volume needs to build - the new year could be a good time to do that, especially if the media starts taking an interest - top tips and all that.

It could be that Bressay will be the game changer - added to Kraken with AK able to exploit both fields that has to be a very tempting target for any bidder.

That's the problem - but if its done from a position of strength the price will always be better - when it is a last resort, as with PMO, shareholders get shafted - but, the price wouldn't be great unless another bidder was around.

I haven't given up on AB but if he was offered a fair deal for Enquest and the opportunity to join the Cairn Board, I guess he would more than likely take it.
Enquest is a tasty morsel - especially with all the tax credits available.
Also it will take a lot of capital to bring Bressay online, doing that under Cairn would be easier.

Logic doesn't overrule necessity unfortunately but it all depends on how Brent performs in 2021.
From a Cairn point of view they could make a bid for Enquest - they have a complete knowledge of Kraken and more than likely Magnus as well - also AB would be a great asset if they made him the right offer.

I suppose that we can speculate that maybe Cairn might want to up their stake in Kraken?

The hook-up has just finished and Petronordic is on her way to Scapa Flow for a STS with the tanker Habrut.

Big news for Enquest's partner this morning, regarding their dispute with the Indian Government -

"Cairn announces that the tribunal established to rule on its claim against the Government of India has found in Cairn's favour.
Cairn's claim was brought under the terms of the UK-India Bilateral Investment Treaty, the legal seat of the tribunal was the Netherlands and the proceedings were under the registry of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
The tribunal ruled unanimously that India had breached its obligations to Cairn under the UK-India Bilateral Investment Treaty and has awarded to Cairn damages of US$1.2billion plus interest and costs, which now becomes payable".
