I fully concur with Ace here - That sort of encapsulates where we all want to be really! A choppy week next week with the elections and all. Collective considered thoughts for weekend reading please ? I’ve sold a small part holding of my AV which has hit 10% growth and produced the last div so if I’m left holding the cash having misjudged any of next weeks (unexpected???) growth I won’t be too upset. Will drop a repurchase in should the opportunity arise. Good luck all.

Yes, growth v income investors -seemingly two different animals which don’t fully understand each others remit. Maybe if discussed in better detail (to me anyway) starting with ‘growth companies will eventually become behemoths of market share, dominance and investor income’ - this would be a starting point to demonstrate we’re on the same page(ish).

So when Pru announces it has surplus cash and therefore is commencing a buyback its shares rocket. Lgen announces the same on a leaser level - and the shares dive! What is going on?

Yep - 90days payment terms with ‘set off’, then a final negotiation on discount for ‘paying on time’. Tight fisted is not the word I’d choose for house builders in general…

The Swiss National Bank revealed on Wednesday that it would provide Credit Suisse Group AG with liquidity if needed.

In the same statement, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) noted that it "is in very close contact with the bank [Credit Suisse] and has access to all information relevant to supervisory law" and confirmed that "Credit Suisse meets the higher capital and liquidity requirements applicable to systemically important banks."

Fairly sure they have daily limits to prevent market manipulation. Wondering how far this will go up before the 30th - AV took a beating very unnecessarily (IMO) so here’s to a quick and speedy recovery - and beyond!

There’s posters at each extreme on this forum. If taken too literally most would probably sell up and then go back balls in at least three times a day! That said there are plenty of people who find and post good info from many sources. I for one am happy to read (and filter) all contributions.
